Amazing food!
Read moreI had the gochujang tofu roti and oh my god, it was unreal. The roti was delicious as was the crispy tofu. I was worried about it being too spicy but it was perfect, I recommend everyone to try this.
There were also two other vegan options on the lunch menu which both look amazing.

Solid Option in Rotorua 🌿 - Edit
Rotorua doesn’t have many vegan-friendly restaurants, so this was a solid find! It was super busy when we went for dinner, which is always a good sign. We shared a few appetizers — the potato dish was especially good.

Sharing great vegan food - Edit
Nice concept of food sharing with your table. The idea is to order food, it gets at your table when it’s ready and you share it with your table. Staff was nice and the food was amazing. Bit pricey but we had a great and tasty night

Creative Vegan Options - Edit
We had a really lovely time at Atticus Finch!
Read moreWe started with some fries and drinks. Then from the small share plates we had the Sesame Crusted Tofu Steaks and Ras el Hanout Kumara, from the large share plates we had the Chipotle & Maple Rubbed Pumpkins and Pulled Jackfruit Tostadas, and for dessert we had the Banoffee Tart.
The food was really delicious and very creative! I was only slightly disappointed with the banoffee tart, as it felt a bit too rich.
Make sure to make a reservation, as it is very busy even on a weekday and you might have to wait over an hour if you don't have a reservation.

Great vegan options - Edit
Best vegan food I have found in two weeks of travel all over NZ. Sesame Crusted Tofu was unbelievable and Vegan Dumplings were quite tasty too. Also have Pulled Jackfruit Tacos. Soy Mocha was top shelf too. Not bad for Omni restaurant!

Mostly yum - Edit
Sat down and there was a dedicated vegan menu printed out so we didn’t even need to look at the regular menu! Love that! We were told the food would come one dish at a time and that we should order everything at once. We got our first 3 small dishes all at same time unfortunately but they were goooood!!! Bread rolls, sesame crusted tofu, and dumplings. Unfortunately our large dish came out super cold and the tortillas were impossible to cut or break up because they’d been sitting for too long with the jackfruit on top. Tasty though…I’m sure they’re good if served fresh. Definitely recommend a booking for a weekend night. Super friendly staff.

Very highly recommended! - Edit
Had lunch here with friends, and every section of the menu had a vegan option. The food was some of the nicest I’ve had in a long time, and the service was super friendly. Also very reasonably priced for the quality - I’d give this 5 stars if I could!

Will need to try more next time - Edit
There was a variety of options clearly marked on the menu, which was amazing. Me and my partner only sat for dessert. It was great to see vegan options but the Banoffee tart tasted like a raw dessert, which was too sweet for my liking. It would be nice to see some cooked desserts.

So good we went twice! - Edit
During our trip to Rotorua, we had the pleasure of dining at Atticus Finch twice - and both experiences were outstanding! Their lunch menu features excellent bistro-style food, and we went for the stir-fried tofu in schezwan sauce, the portobello mushroom open sandwich, and a side of satay disco fries to share. All three dishes were absolutely to die for! We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and knew we had to come back.
Read moreA few days later, we returned for dinner and learned that the evening menu is specifically designed for sharing. This time, we ordered the vegan dumplings, pulled jackfruit tostadas, and the vegan thali. Each dish was packed with flavour, and we loved exploring the different tastes and textures throughout the evening.
The service at Atticus Finch was consistently excellent - fast, friendly, and accommodating. If you're in Rotorua and searching for delicious vegan food, we can’t recommend this place enough!

Surprisingly amazing vegan food! - Edit
I highly recommend the pulled jackfruit tacos (and I don't even like jackfruit usually), dumplings, and fried tofu. These three small plates instead of a large one (the vegan thali wasn't as good as these) was enough to fill me up nicely. I loved that even though this place was mostly outside, they had heaters and offered blankets so we weren't cold at all. And I can't forget – try the vegan pie – it was so delicious and unique with caramel and popcorn.

Pretty good, slightly pricey - Edit
My sister and I shared the three vegan small platters and the vegan Thali main platter. There were three vegan small platters and two big platters plus a dessert. We enjoyed the pulled jackfruit tacos and the Thali a lot. The vegan dumplings were not steamed properly (still hard at the top) but had good flavour, the tofu small platter was really strange in its flavour profile - to us. Three small and one large was plenty of food, they recommend one small and one large per person but two small and one large would’ve been enough for us. No room to try the banoffee tart unfortunately. The restaurant got really busy after 7pm and it has a nice vibe. Fun for shared meals. Has an extensive drinks menu

Delicious food - Edit
My husband and I ate here in early January, it was very busy as it was holiday season even it was late on a Wednesday. Service was good, central location. There were approx 6 items on the menu which were vegan. This place operates a tapas style so sharing is encouraged, we ordered 2 small and 1 large plate between us and that was about the right amount for us. Food was very tasty if a little on the expensive side.

Wonderful meal - Edit
My omnivore friend and I enjoyed a flavourful filling evening meal. We ordered the Halloumi Salad as a starter and devoured it. For our main meal the Thali platter was shared along with a shared Cauliflower Steak platter. Both bursting with flavour, the Thali platter was nicely spicy. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was busy with many customers, we had no table reservations, but had no problems finding a table.

Not as many options nowadays, but still a decent choice for Rotovegas - Edit
There doesn’t seem to be as many vegan options on the menu as there were previously, but still enough options to make it worth the visit. Black bean tacos were tasty, but portion a bit small comparatively to what omnis I was with ordered. Dessert menu is now only 2 things, but thankfully one of those options was vegan.

Great food - Edit
I tried small plate - silken tofu and main dish - roasted pumpkin. Both good and portion size is actually quite big.
Read moreThey recommend one small and one main per person but honestly adding that small plate is too much.
They also had decent selection of non alcoholic drinks that were delish. For someone who doesn’t drink, it’s hard to find cocktail like drinks without having to resort to soda or gross stuff like Shirley temple.
