Klein Mexicaans fastfood restaurant. Goedkoop, vriendelijke mensen. De combi burrito was te veel voor ons terwijl wij grote eters zijn. Aanbeveling om ietsje minder te bestellen en te delen.

A fun place to gorge yourself - Edit
This is as close to good Mexican food as you are going to get in Leipzig. And it’s really good (and cheap)! The variety of vegan food is impressive - it’s been something like 20 years since I’ve had Jalapeno poppers - what a treat. The food is also spicy and there is a salsa bar with a mild and a spicy salsa so you can flavor it to taste. The coriander salsa was delicious.

The poppers had a really crispy deep fried coating and the cheese came bursting out as we ate them. We also ordered the nachos with extra sour cream and guacamole. I haven’t had cheese sauce (the liquid cheese from my childhood) for decades and it was really fun to experience again. The sauces on the nachos weren’t super flavorful (cheese, guac, sour cream) and the cheese sauce had a flavor that didn’t really go well with the others. But we countered this by loading the nachos with the delicious salsas.
The portion sizes are HUGE and we would have been full with sharing just one starter. But we gorged ourselves and split the small nachos as well (which aren’t small!). And we took the fries home. They also offer free water, which is rare for Germany.
The Lonestar Bakery is inside Atacolypse and has a wonderful selection of cakes. The devils food cake was really creamy and not too sweet, and my favorite was the orange, walnut, white chocolate cake which was sweeter and had a wide variety of flavors.
Update 13 May 2018:
OK now I’ve been back a few times and I have some favorites: the Texas Fajita tacos (have to ask for the hard shell) and the chimichanga (it is a special so it is only there sometimes). The fajita tacos are really flavorful with varied textures between the vegan “meat” and the fresh toppings. The chimichanga was BBQ and simple, but it worked really well, and it came with a side salad with a light, fresh cucumber dressing. And we always get the jalapeno poppers😄I’m really enjoying exploring all of the options at this place!
We brought a big group there and it worked because it was a nice day and their biggest table was available when we got there. It was hilarious because one of our friends had no idea the dinner he just ate was vegan!
Beautiful outdoor seating in back and there is a bathroom.
Update April 2024: so sad this place is going to permanently close at the end of the summer!

Wenn ich nochmal im Osten bin, würde ich wieder kommen.

Amazing place with delicious food at a good price. It's also very authentic taste. My favourite was the guacamole filling and the soy chunks. But actually everything was delicious. Just go and try, you will not regret it.

Das Essen sah auf der Karte Mega aus und es roch auch schon fantastisch. Wir waren zu früh und saßen auf der hauseigenen Bank davor und das Personal lief auch an uns vorbei. Um 13 Uhr sollte es öffnen, stand auch so auf dem Schild an der Tür. Um 13.10 machten wir uns dann mal vorsichtig bemerkbar und da kam heraus, dass sie heute erst ab 15 Uhr öffnen...

Die Tacos waren größer als die typischen kleinen, von denen man mindestens 3 braucht, der Burrito war ordentlich:). Für meinen Geschmack bei allem etwas zu viel Salat und zu wenig warme Füllung, aber trotzdem sehr lecker. Die Pommes waren leider nicht so unser die Fall, die Nachos fanden wir aber suuuuper🤤. Der Service war top!

Good spot for vegan Tex Mex! We ordered two tacos, which were bigger than expected. They tasted really good but are mostly filled with lettuce and raw tomato. We also had a burrito which was good. Unfortunately, the fries were not our favorite but we loved the nachos! Service was super friendly:).

Best Tex-Mex options for Vegans - Edit
Literally the best vegan food in Leipzig! I have been there 3 times during my 3 day Leipzig trip! It was my first and it is my one and only 100% Vegan Tex-Mex food! I tried tacos and nachos they offer and they were all super delicious! Every vegan visitor in Leipzig must go there and try their amazing options. By the way, the prices are super affordable for this quality of foods!

Went there for dinner. Tiny place but cozy. Had the small nachos which was actually a huge portion and tasted great. Also had a delicious burrito. Various sauces/salsas you can add to your food as you like which was nice. Great value for money and super quick. Yummy cakes as well!
