Fast food, mostly take-away! - Edit
I ate here when it first opened in 2014. The food is absolutely amazing.
Note that this is fast-food, not a restaurant. I don't know if they've changed it, but I'm fairly certain you can only sit outside, and at few tables. The inside is VERY small.
Maybe think of this as vegan McDonalds with only a walk-through, though they use much better ingredients than McDonalds, and the food is higher quality. Don't use this for restaurant, but do use it for a quick lunch or if you don't have time to go to a restaurant for dinner.
Pros: Absolutely amazing food, gives the satisfaction of fast-food but healthier
Cons: Very small place

Buns and dogs - what more do you want? - Edit
I've eaten here several times now and I've yet to be disappointed. It is a really great vegan fast food place and the standard is high each time.
Have tried both burgers and dogs - both is great!
And the price is very reasonable compared to a lot of other veg places in Copenhagen.
In conclusion - just go here - you shan't be let down.
Also as others have mentioned, there's limited seating (like 6-7 chairs) so just be aware.
Pros: food all of it
Cons: small place

Very, very nice! - Edit
Very good food. Small place, as most take out places are. There are a few seats indoors. And a table outdoor, but this was a rainy day...Friendly staff. I thought the price was a bit high but then i'm not used to prices in Copenhagen, coming from a small town in Sweden...,
Pros: Good food! , and all vegan
Cons: Rather few seats, but it IS a take out place.

Not really impressed - Edit
We went here after reading some really good reviews from people saying this is the best vegan burger they've had.
A few bad points:
-The fryer was broken - so no fries. They had posted on their Facebook that they had made some backup potato salad, but they were out (6:30pm and they close at 8pm). Ok.. how about potato chips? Almost all were past expiration.. they gave us the one bag that wasn't (paprika flavored).
-They had enough vegan cheese for one burger (again 630pm and they close at 8pm). According to my wife who had that one, the cheese was flavorless.
-My burger was dry.. almost to the point of crumbly. I had the BBQ with the Sweet Monkey relish. The BBQ flavor was baked into burger patty, which is a neat idea.
On the plus side the prices were reasonable $180 kr for two burgers, a bag of chips and two Fritz colas; and the neighborhood is lined with other restaurants and shops to browse.. and for literary buffs the cemetery that Hans Christian Anderson (amongst others) is buried in is a couple blocks down the street.. we made a stop by there:)
I really wanted to like this place as their partner vegan supermarket has great reviews and my wife likes it.
Pros: Fair prices, Neighborhood is fun
Cons: Food quality , Ran out of product

So Good - Edit
This place was incredible! I love junk food and Astrid Och Aporno had it veganised in a delicious way.
I ordered the grill menu burger which came with a side of coleslaw (which I usually hate but this was pretty nice). The burger had vegan mayo, pickles, tomatoes, onions, apple?? (idk but it was good) and the soy patty and I died and went to heaven it was sooo gooood.
The chips could have been crunchier and thicker but that's just my personal preference. The interior was small and it got busy while we were there so there wasn't anywhere to sit except outside (in early March that's not a good idea) which was a shame but I didn't really care. I sat on the window ledge and enjoyed the delicious burger.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, everything's vegan!
Cons: limited places to sit

Great vegan fast food joint! - Edit
Excellent burgers and hotdogs here! The service is a bit slow and indoor seating is very awkward, but during the summer it's great to sit outside. If you are in the area then you must go to this place!
Pros: tasty burgers, tasty hotdogs
Cons: limited menu, slow service

Massive burger - Edit
Astrid och Aporna Spiseri is a fast food place, based on the products that Astrid och Aporna is selling in grocery stores.
I took a Grill B*urger menu (One big burger incl french fries and cole slaw.) I could barely eat it all. The Burger is very big, stuffed with veggies, mayo, sweet pickled cucumber (Sweet Swedish Style). The side order was not impressive. French fries was barlely cooked (not crunchy), maybe because it was near closing time and the chef was already out in bars... and the cole slaw lacked mayo. The my book the main ingredience in a cole slaw is mayo. Next time I just settle with the Burger.
The interior design is very basic fast food joint and very plastic. It is mainly for take away. Half of the chairs inside are broke and very uncomfortable. It was too cold to sit outside in December.

Mostly a good experience - Edit
The staff were friendly and helpful when I (being sensitive to, among other things, onions) asked about the ingredients of the food. I was a bit disappointed by their limited menu, considering the large product range Astrid&Aporna has in stores. They asked me what I wanted on my sausage, but not my boyfriend (who got his covered in ketchup, one of the things he can't stand...) who also wasn't asked what he'd like to drink (while I managed to get tap water on request, as I prefer not to drink bottled water for the environments sake). A suggestion for improvement is to write on the menu what's served with each dish (like that ketchup and mustard is automatically added unless you say something) and to spare the environment by serving tap water to anyone. This really is a fast food place, so if it's bad weather I guess it would be cramped inside by the bar desk- kind tables. Sitting outside by the tables on the quiet street was nice, though.
I recommend the chef's own vegan mayo!
Pros: Staff knew the food's content, Good value, Chef's mayo
Cons: Unclear what's served with each dish, No nice seating inside, Normally doesn't serve tap water

Delicious burgers and fries - Edit
Nice and comfy old american diner style, with high tables and chairs. Friendly service and delicious food. I LOVE their burgers and fries(fries b4 guys), not a big hotdog lover, but my non-vegan brother and father have both eaten with me here and they liked the food, though they thought it was a bit pricey. I personally am fine with the prices, but do not absolutely love the location. But it is fairly close to the supermarket of the same brand, which makes the trip worth it. Definitely a must when in Copenhagen.
Pros: 100% Vegan, Tastes amazing
Cons: Location

Peace out & Rock'n'roll thumbs up from here! - Edit
This is the best Burger in Town!!!
Even if you are NON-veg. Trust me I got people with me who was non-veg and they where all totally blown away by this place!
As we say for fun, "You can't do epic shit with basic people" and this place is NOT just a basic burger bar in town- This place is epic!
This is also the best hotdog in the city if you ask my husband;)
In here you can get burgers, hotdogs, salat & owen baked fries on the site and mostly a months dish which last time was a damn fine "fooled-pork" wrap made with jackfruit meat.
If you are in town for a few days, please go to this place. The street where it is located is also a really lovely place to chill in!
Peace out & Rock'n'roll thumbs up from here!
Pros: Cool staff, Nice Vibe, good Value

Nice place - Edit
I was only for a few days in Copenhagen and this one was a great experience after some raw/vegan places that were a bit disappointing. I also like the face that it was more vegan based than healthy (like the raw/vagn places). There is a little charity box at the counter. I had the BBQ burger and really liked it! Also relaxed atmosphere and nice people. I was lucky there was only one other customer, so no waiting. My favorite vegan place in Copenhagen so far.
Pros: Nice food, Totally vegan, Relaxt atmosphere
Cons: A bit hard to find

Go here for the hotdogs - Edit
Kind of mixed feelings about this place. It's definitely a very laid-back feeling, sometimes the people working there are very chatty, other times they seem a little too busy talking privately with each other.
According to others, don't trust the opening times completely, but call beforehand and make sure they're open.
Now, ABOUT THE FOOD, personally I was disappointed with the burgers. They were dry, pretty bland, fairly small and overpriced. The fries are oilfree (?) and only served with ketchup, and I'm very much missing some kind of vegannaise option.
I do however love the hotdogs, esp. the hot chörizo with the sundays best relish. They are fairly priced at 29 DKK, one is great for a quick snack and two will leave me full, which seems like a better option than getting one small burger, that won't.
Don't go if your in a rush. If you're lucky you might get your food fast, but when I was there the last time, there happened to be 4 people in line in front of me, and I ended up having to wait for my two hotdogs for 45 minutes. Fortunately the guy was spinning good jams, so I didn't mind too much.
The wraps have been sold out on every occasion I have been there. Salads are good, but the spicy one was indeed spicy. Apparently there's a new menu on its way - hopefully they'll keep the hotdogs!
Pros: 100% vegan, Great hotdogs, Good take-away-option
Cons: Expensive burgers, Not that inventive, Fast food that are slow

Good - Edit
100% vegan but it does not say so anywhere. No mention even about vegetarian. I find that interesting the meet eaters won't know. Nice takeaway spot. Seating for max 8-10 people inside, but more outside.
Pros: vegan

Vegetarian Fast Food - Edit
Excellent veggie burgers and soy dogs with delicious relishes. No indoor seating, though picnic table outside and park nearby. Staff incredibly friendly. One negative is that the restaurant is far away on the outskirts of town.
Pros: Veggie Burgers and Soy Dogs, Service
Cons: No Indoor Seating

Pretty Good - Edit
I like their burgers, especially after they got the non-wholewheat bun (which made the burger way too dry compared to the amount of sauce on it). They once had a DELICOUS side salad with seaweed, edamame beans and so on that I would crave, but now it's just a normal boring one.
I heard lots about their fooled pork wrap and was so excited, but both me and my boyfriend almost couldn't eat it because it tasted REALLY pickled, alot like vinegar, which we can't stand.
Also, all of the relishes have either coriander or jalapeños, which I can't stand either, and i consider it a pretty normal thing to dislike, so I don't understand why they won't get something else.
I had a "shrimp" wrap there once though, (while they had the delicious side salad) and that was like THE BEST thing I ever ate. Unfortunately, they won't get that back either..
So yeah, I rarely eat there at all now.
Pros: Pretty Okay Fast Food, Good Prices
Cons: Have Weird Ingredients nobody Likes, Removes ALL of the Good Stuff on The Menu

Super small place! - Edit
It's a super tiny place! The first time I was passing by I kept wondering on how tiny the place is. It's not a place where you can come with a bunch of friends to sit and enjoy the food, it's rather a good spot for tasty, not too pricy take-away vegan food. Good hotdogs, variety of sauces and burger options available.
Pros: Inexpensive, Tasty fast food
Cons: Really small place

Vegan fast food at Nørrebro - Edit
Astrid and Aporna serves vegan fast food like hot dogs, burgers, wraps, fries and side salads.
The small take-away restaurant (theres only limited seating) is located in the hip Jægersborggade. Plenty of shopping and dining options nearby.
Burgers and hot dogs are served with a choice of home made relish. I love that it is homemade (contrary to the bread).
The wraps and hotdogs are quite delicious. You get best value for money buying the hot dog. The wraps are small and should be considered a snack as it will not get you near full. More green filling, like salad and cucumber would suit the wraps. If you are satisfied with a small snack, the wraps do really taste exceptionally great.
The burgers are big, but the bread (wholegrain) is often a bit on the dry side and the amount of bread - compaired to filling - is to much. It is actually more like a sandwich than a burger. The bread has improved since the restaurant opened, but it is not quite there yet. I hope the management will consider trying some new (more burgerlike) bread types and maybe offer a regular burger bun with sesame seeds, so the customers have a choice. I prefer the the type of burger buns served at YoYo-foodworld in Berlin.
Fresh cucumber and tomato would really suit the burgers.
The fries are cooked in a special oven without oil. They are truly delicious and are served with ketchup.
Pros: Vegan, Friendly kitchen staff, Homemade relish
Cons: Burger buns need improvement, wraps and burgers need more filling

A vegan hot dog stand - Edit
Astrid och Aporna very much resembles an indoor hotdog stand. They primarily sell hotdogs and burgers, but also a few other fastfood options. For the type of foods they offer it certainly is high-quality tasty food. I recommend everyone to give it a try. However, like a hot dog stand, this restaurant is best suited for a afternoon snack and not a full meal, since eating a few burgers at this place quickly becomes expensive.

Pros: Tasty fastfood
Cons: Too expensive for a full meal

Boring meat substitute burgers - Edit
It's great to have a vegan burger joint in Copenhagen, and I hope that Astrid och Aporna expand their range of burgers as they get more established. I don't eat vegan substitute meat/cheese products, so I felt a bit sick when eating the processed burger as anything that resembles meat or cheese just grosses me out. It's a very small place, so your clothes smell a bit like frying oil if you eat inside. I would only ever go there again if they offered a more creative take on the veggie burger. More combinations with beans, rice, lentils and nuts please!

average - Edit
It is nice finally to have a vegan burger-bar in Copenhagen but dont get your expectations up. The burgers are quite average, doesnt get you full and pretty expensive. You pay around 60-70 kroner for a burger and they dont serve fries. I have heard that their wraps are supposed to be better value for the money but I havnt tried them mysef.
if you really, really crave a burger it is one of the few places to go, but even though I am a huge burger-fan I pretty much dont go there.
Pros: its vegan..
Cons: price
Best Vegan Hot Dogs EVER - Edit
I really liked this place.... it's also located in the "cool" area of Copenhagen... so plenty of other nice bars, cafes and stuff in the surrounding area.... you have to try the vegan hotdog.... really something special!
Pros: Love the hotdogs!, Great Location, Decent Price
Cons: Pretty slow for "fast" food., Didn't like the loud metal music!

Awesome fast food - Edit
I have been here twice and have had the hot dog, burger and fries. The food is really delicious. I got a spicy hot dog with a spicy kind of relish. Messy but great. The burger also tastes great and has very nice texture.
It is a small place, not much room to sit and eat, with just a few seats at the counter and two picnic tables outside.
I highly recommend this place though, super tasty!
Pros: Vegan fast food, Delicious
Cons: Expensive for fast food in general

Nice vegan fastfood joint - Edit
This is a very unuseal vegan eatery. It severs greasy, delicious, cheap, hangover foods- and their vegan; HURRAY! tried their burger and fooled pork sharwarma both really good spiced and filled with awsome mockmeat.
Pros: cheap, greasy, drink selection
Cons: decor, greasy, portion size

High quality fastfood at affordable prices - Edit
"Astrid och Aporna" (Astrid and the Monkeys)is a health store in Sweden, specializing in vegan goodies, such as "cheese", soy hotdogs, patties, etc. As of recent, they've been expanding their franchise, the latest expansion being this burger joint in Jægersborggade.
The place is located in a half basement, and most seating is outside on benches, whereas tall chairs and counters is what the inside has to offer. The deco style can only be described as simplistic - the focus is on the food here.
There's currently 3 different types of food to chose from: hotdog, burger and wrap - either with salads on the side, if you'd like that (those are 20 dkk). The hotdogs are the cheapest, around 30 dkk, whereas burgers are 69 dkk - melted veg. cheese inclusive.
I had the burger. Good choice. Everything was homemade, and one of the staff told me everything is organic. Veg spicy pattie, mayo, tomato salsa, salads. It tasted delicious, and is so far one of the best vegan burgers i've ever bought from a regular store. I'm a tall guy, so i didn't get full (i never do), but i know most of you would be very satisfied with the amount.
The hotdogs (which was served many times) looked and smelled delicious, filled to the limit with all kinds of toppings.
The staff told me the menu will vary from time to time. As long as they keep this standard, i'm definately one of their new regulars.
Only big minus is the seating (which is going to be a problem during winter for sure) and the physical surroundings. It could use some color and a less polished look.
Pros: Very high quality, Fair prices, Friendly staff
Cons: Only fastfood, Polished interior design, Lack of good seating

Excellent ! - Edit
Excellent hotdogs with extraordinary relish. As most takeout places small, but with limited outdoor seating in cosy Jægersborggade and very close to both Nørrebroparken and Assistens. A good experience, and I will definitely be a frequent guest!
Pros: taste, price, location
Cons: limited seating
