Fabulous Vegan Options - Edit
I was so pleased to see The Aspinall Arms have added new vegan options to the menu.. The dining room is lovely overlooking the River Ribble, so its a great place to dine. I also like the attention to detail about allergens, its clearly visible on their website and you are asked at reception and given an allergen menu.
Read moreWe ordered bang bang cauliflower, Moroccan houmous with pitta (both on the menu as nibbles) and onion rings to start. They were delicious dishes, my husband loved the cauliflower and the houmous with the onion rings was a fabulous combination. They also had whipped macadamia with pickled rhubarb, beetroot and pistachio pumpkin granola as another vegan option.
Mains were cauliflower Milanese with tomato and black olive linguine and green rice cakes with kimchi, pickled radish and butternut squash puree with a side of chips. There was also a vegan nut roast as it was Sunday and during the week on the lite bites menu a wrap. The mains were delicious and substantial and we polished off every morsel and had to say no to the vegan chocolate orange tart for dessert as we were too full.
Called with friends for lunch and tried the latest vegan option a Shepherd's pie which was gorgeous..My non vegan friend also ordered it as she said my food always looked so good and she thought it was fantastic and left a clean plate. Hope they keep adding more vegan interesting options.
