Bldg 469 State Route 64, Grand Canyon Village, Arizona, USA, 86023

Serves meat, vegan options available. The sign outside of this strip mall eatery reads "Asian Food." Inside is an odd Route 66-styled roadhouse. The menu has a vegetarian section, and tofu is available, but nothing specifically mentions vegan. If you move outside of the vegetarian section, ask about fish sauce use. Not much else for veg food in the vicinity. Reported closed, Mar 2018.

Very nice food but overall peculiar place - Edit

Hi! There was maybe one choice for vegan food in the village (chili at Yavapi Lodge, it was cheap and ok) so had no choice but to head to Tusayan. Get the free shuttle! Stay as close to the canyon as you can. It's amazing.

Was a confusing place at first. Not many customers so we sat down to wait for service...nothing happened...noticed a sign at the bar saying 'Order here'. Went there...waited... Nothing happened. One member of staff approached but just blanked us... Hmm. Was about to leave when finally a lady arrived. Ordered the green curry with tofu and yellow curry. About 14 dollars each. Pricey. Two boozy drinks were 6 each.

Went to sit down and food arrived quickly. It was delicious. The tofu was silken, I think. Really soft. Lots of veg and lovely rice. Sriracha, chillis and sambal on the table to spice it up. Big portion. Weirdly it's all served in plastic dishes. It felt odd. The bowl started to heat up and stick to the plastic table. After a while it filled up with further costumers and it seemed that they began table service. So confusing!

So I'd recommend this place but do be aware that it's odd and the service is below par and it feels like they don't trust you with actual tableware.

Pros: Tofu , Veg, Curry

Cons: Plastic tableware , Mediocre service, Expensive?

Any Port in a Storm - Edit

So there's little that's vegan in Grand Canyon Village so I thought we might venture down to the next town to see what was there. After reading the horrible reviews of the other two options in town, I decided I'd take a chance on this one.

It's a curious place. Odd decor. Odd workers. Ordered at the bar, but then sat down for table service on plastic plates and utensils. Value was okay. Food was okay. Menu was okay. Service was okay. If this was in your home town, you'd never go back there because there are better options. Here there are not.

I had a vegan curry (thin but spiced well), my wife the pad Thai (soupy), both with tofu. We had the fried tofu as the appetizer. Sauce as bland, oil didn't taste so fresh. Fine, not good, but fine was okay.

Pros: Location
