BEST HEALTHY & DELICIOUS VEGAN FOOD AROUND - Edit
I love this place! Very tasty foods that I can trust are free of sugar and unhealthy ingredients. The food feels more healthy than most other vegan places in the area. Big portions of food. Super nice staff and the owner is a local Thai woman who is vegan herself and very passionate about vegan foods. I have eaten here many times, and some of my absolute favorites which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to try is: the falafel salad, the spring rolls, the sushi, paneng curry. And the mulberry shake. Their curries can be pretty spicy so make sure to ask for no spicy if you are sensitive. 😉ENJOY!

Good - Edit
The portions are BIG. Ordered the spring rolls as a starter - but they'd be big even as a main. I don't like wasting food, but it was just too much. It usually doesn't make sense for me to take away food on a holiday (since it'll go bad quick in the heat without a fridge). Just FYI😉If you are hungry though, good value for the money. The Penang was good. They don't have juices/soft drinks, only hot drinks like tea, 3 different smoothies (one of which wasn't available). Free water. Not my favourite restaurant all in all, but still recommendable.

Massaman curry was totally overcooked. I didn't finish the soup (just tried some) and told the staff about my thoughts but they didn't care much. We paid the normal price for this anyway.160b

Scrumptious food, made with a loving vibration that you can taste and feel! Friendly staff, who take great care and pride in doing meticulous, fine work, have a reverence for the fresh ingredients they use, and work with gratitude, respect, joy, laughter, smiling faces, and a loving spirit, all of which contribute to the exceptional culinary creations they prepare. Ashoka provides outstanding value, which is unparalleled within the surrounding area. Highly recommend this incomparable, pleasurable, and positive experience!!

Disappointing food and no drinks - Edit
I was a bit disappointed with the food after having read all the good reviews on here. I had the pad thai and it was actually quite bland. It really lacked some seasoning. My husband had a curry, which was more like a soup, not rich and creamy like a Thai curry is supposed to be like. I also found it a bit weird that they don't serve any drinks. We asked and were told that they don't have any drinks other than some kind of thick soymilk drink. From what we could make out of the response, they didn't even have water. After a while, we saw that some of the other guests had been served water, but we didn't bother to ask about it since we had almost finished our meal. I just find it weird that they didn't offer us water when we obviously wanted something to drink.

Excellent! Tasty food and big portions! - Edit
We had two burritos and it was really tasty! I had an Indian tea and I really enjoyed the flavor. It's a bit expensive (160 Baht for a burrito), however it was really huge and I almost couldn't eat it all.

Good food. - Edit
The "brown rice salad with tofu" was ok, did not have a lot of flavor and needs more spice. Masala curry was very good! Prices are ok, big portions.
Read moreHowever we did order before two other tables, and they got their food before us, long wait..
Falafel burrito was ok, the falafel isn't that good but it tasted ok with everything else. Also tried the coconut/soymilk shake, I'd prefer if the fruit was blended with the fluids... It was just coconut-/soymilk with huge chunks of fruit at the bottom, not very good. The strawberry shake did not taste like strawberries.
Again people had to wait a long time before getting their food. A girl that ordered first got her food after 3 other tables, after asking for it.
Update:
We've visited Ashoka a lot now and tried more of their food. Safe to say I was just unlucky with my first that didn't taste a lot! The burritos are amazing, and the Tom Kha soup too! Really big portions and we are never able to finish our food. Love that they have take-away boxes! I did try another rice dish which also didn't have much taste. Will def try more of their soups!
The girl behind the counter is always really happy and friendly
Pros: Big portions, Friendly staff
Cons: Don't understand a lot of english!

Thai Fusion - Edit
The food here is kind of Thai fusion so they have typical Thai dishes but also things like Thai dishes in a burrito. The portions are large and the dishes taste pretty good but we felt that it's a bit over-priced for just Thai food. The place has a nice ambiance. No desserts.

Food was OK - Edit
Ordered a rice veg salad dish (which is served hot and is more of a mixed rice and veg dish with some tomato curry sauce), which didn't taste that great to be honest. I suppose it's called a salad because the veg on it is raw (or almost raw).
Read moreMy partner had a miso soup which was really good though.
In my opinion, given the quality of the food, I'd say it's a bit overpriced.

Yogi tea lovely.

Clean bathroom for customer use.
Not cheap by Thailand standards but also not the most expensive around here. So given that portions are plenty big enough and it’s nice food, i think it’s great.
Will definitely come back.

This place is awesome! - Edit
We love this restaurant! The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly😄The green and red curries are so delicious and the sushi is one of the best vegan sushis I’ve ever had. The only thing I have tried so far that wasn’t so good was the massaman curry. The mulberry shake is wonderful😄This restaurant doesn’t cook with sugar or MSG!

Do it for the curry - Edit
2 of our 3 items were meh, but the Panang curry was so good that I have to give the place a 5. I’m sure the other curries are just as amazing. We also ordered the miso soup and a chocolate milk shake. The soup was fine, and the shake was not worth it. Other reviews talked about how good the shakes are, so maybe we just got a not so great one. Not thick at all. Basically the consistency of chocolate milk. It was tasty, but no milk shake.

Worth it - Edit
Was initially iffy on going because it's on the pricier side, definitely the most expensive meal we've had in a while, but worth it for a nice night out. Portion sizes are huge. The panang curry was SOOO good. Cocoa shake was fine, more like cold chocolate milk. Not much of a shake consistency.

How vegan food should be! - Edit
Really tasty and super healthy. We tried 3 different curries and definitely they do the best on the whole island! Also the cocoa-banana shake is a must try. Whole restaurant is no MSG, preservatives, colouring or sugar. They also have a very informative wall with all the classes and treatments on the island.
