Fancy Expensive Sepate Plant Based Menu! - Edit

Had to come here for my dads birthday dinner a couple years ago and while they had vegan options it really sucked to be surrounded by steaks. Also the tofu steak was good but it was not worth the price and did not have enough substance at all.

Beautiful location. Separate vegan menu. A rare thing for the East side.

Starting off, most of the specialty cocktails weren't vegan. Our waiter was great at pointing them out but still. Why not vegan cocktails.
Appetizer - Jackfruit cakes were actually very good.
Entree - Everyone told me to get the mushroom dish but I'm not a mushroom fan so went with the Tofu steak. The sauce was amazing but the tofu was so seared that the only flavor was charred.
Expensive but that was expected.
Overall, would go back if I had to go to a steak joint but otherwise no reason to.

I loved the vegan menu at ascend and waiters immediately gave it to me after telling them about my dietary restriction! The vegan dessert was very good! Just a little expensive but if your willing to spend the money it's so good!

I originally went here to meet up with a friend for drinks. I had no expectations and figured they wouldn’t have much for me to munch on, being a steakhouse and all. I asked if they could recommend anything that was vegan and they brought over a menu! I was so happy that I wasn’t left with just a side of broccoli.

Went to Ascend to celebrate a friends birthday. The views of the city from the high floor restaurant are unmatched. Service was good but kind of slow at times. I ordered a sushi appetizer and Mushroom Fricasse Barley. The sushi was delicious but the Fricasse I did not like one bit! I wish I would of selected something else instead. This ruined the experience for me.

At Ascend they have a vegan menu if you ask for it. On this menu you can get various types of sushi rolls, entrees, and dessert. They have a sorbet that is to die for! For a celebration or date night, this place has the the right atmosphere and the food was great with plenty of options for us. Just don’t look at the barbecue room, it’s upsetting.
