Serves meat, vegan options available. There is one vegan curry on the small menu, which is Indonesian-inspired lentil/chickpea. It is a little shack at the bottom of Shirahama Beach. The owner, who speaks English, understands veganism. It is attached to a guest house, also named Asanami, and during high season it is open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and 5:00 pm to close. Please call ahead to be sure they are open.

Not really good for vegans - Edit
I got there at 12:30 and they told me they didn't have the vegan curry that someone mentioned here so they suggested some steamed vegetables instead and I ordered some rice to go with it. After waiting for ages they mixed up the order and mistakenly gave mine to another table so I had to wait even more. They brought me a sad little salad with mixed herbs and tofu plus a fresh fruit juice while they remade my order. The staff is nice and they seemed to understand what vegan means but they don't speak any English so I would not recommend it for food, go for a beer instead.
