Great breakkie spot - Edit
The food was nice here! I had pancakes which were packed with goodies like pumpkin seeds and chia seeds. I liked how they weren’t overly sweet in the way that some breakkie pancakes are. Very filling too. Price is decent, slightly on the higher side but not bad. The one downer was the coffee- which was really watery and bitter (I do understand that as an Aussie I have very high coffee expectations) and hard to drink. Nice furnishings too.

I went to Asa on an almost daily basis while in Chiang Mai. I had quite a few of their meals and ALL were delicious. The atmosphere is zen and the restaurant is beautiful.
Read moreThe meals I’ve tried:

Their juices are also great and the Chai Masala tea is super tasty!
This place will not disappoint you.

Nice and cozy atmosphere with vegan food full of flavors . - Edit
I was drooling by the time I finished reading the menu. Many different, well thought out choices. I resolved to try the mushroom burger on a spinach bun with sauteed purple sweet potatoes. The flavors were better than I imagined they would be. Excellent dish. I can't wait to come back and try more. The staff was relaxed, yet attentive and very knowledgeable on the menu. Good vibes.

An example of greatness - Edit
Asa is an example of a business checking all the boxes that encompass great environmental stewardship.
Read moreTheir prices are more than reasonable when considering the great lengths of care put into their offerings and service.
The food at Asa is beautifully presented, healthy and tasty.
I’d love to see other businesses step up to the plate as Asa has with their commitment to making the world a better place by going the extra mile.
If I could give them 6 stars I would.
Pros: Environmental greatness, Reasonable prices, Great location
Cons: Thai peeps may think food to be a bit outside box

Good, but too expensive - Edit
The French Toast with caramelized apples has been very tasty, but the pancakes were just o.k - they would have been better if they would add some more fruits than only some slices of banana. We payed 525 bath (including two coffee), which we found a bit overpriced.

Decent food, not worth the price - Edit
Went there on two occasions. The acai smoothie bowl was very tasty, perhaps a bit too ice cold for my taste.
Read moreThe mains come with brown rice and a nice selection of veggies, dressings are a hit and miss (some are too oily). What I really did not appreciate were the stale chickpeas.
The coffee is good and the water kefir was very nice (but again, expensive for the amount).
Pros: Lots of good options, coffee
Cons: Pricey

Cozy High Vegan Touch in CM - Edit
Asa Vegan proposes higher touches in terms of vegan experience. All recipes are a bit more sophisticated than the average vegan places, with some innovative touch from smoothie bowls to other main dishes.
Read morePrices are in the higher end of average.
They have a yoga studio, and a cozy upstairs sitting area.
I was there as well for giving a natural health and yoga workshop, which went perfectly smooth!

Upscale vegan food - Edit
A fairly loud, hot setting but Asa have created a clean menu with slightly elevated Thai and Western dishes. The pad Thai was made with plum instead of tamarind sauce, which was a little sweet for my liking but well cooked. Prices on the higher end of average.

Good food, excellent vibe - Edit
I had their mango chickpea curry and it was delicious, a bit on the spicy side which i liked. I also had their cakes and loved all of them. Will recommend them for a quick snack. The fact that they let you fill your bottles up is an added bonus and a blessing in the heat. The place has great vibes and lovely interior which make it possible to sit and enjoy. It’s a bit on the expensive side.

I had a curry (green curry with pea flower if I remember well) with slices of bread. It was probably one of the best curry I have ever had. The place is great. Efforts are done to fight plastic pollution. Congrats!

Individual style with great food - Edit
Asa is a great new place in Chiang Mai, adding a very welcome option to the choices available. It has a style of its own, with unique menu options and delightful staff who are welcoming and cheerful. I am working my way through the menu, but so far all is delicious and nicely done. There are two options for seating: one in the entrance area with a view to the outside road, and the other is an upstairs lounging area, great for peaceful chilling.

Real addition to the vegan scene in Chiang Mai - Edit
This restaurant is really an addition to Chiang Mai. The food is delicious, made with a twist away from the original but still respecting the tradition. The service is very kind and the atmosphere is warm due to the wood used in the interiour.
