Remember, Menu is not Carta! - Edit

Had a very nice lunch at Arvoleda in early April. Very nice space on the 2nd floor of an older building. Was thinking about a hamburguesa, but in my relatively confused Espanol, asked for the Menu rather than the Carta. Turned out to be a nice soup, followed by a quinoa tofu combination. As in most everywhere we ate in Chile, dishes are not heavily spiced. Still good and satisfying. Attentive service and a very cool vibe.

creative chef, delicious food, little shop inside the restaurant - Edit

We enjoyed Feijoada. A typical Brazilian dish out of chard, rice, beets, pepper, beans, and eggplant. So delicious! As a desert we had four different ice cream scoops. The restaurant is open since two years and the owner a very nice and sweet person. She is vegan since eight years. The chef is from Brazil and very creative. She changes the menu del dia (plus soup) every day (3'500 pesos). Sandwiches from the menu are between 1’200 and 3’300 pesos. In the restaurant is a little shop where we bought nutritional yeast (3'600 pesos), vitamin B12 (2'500 pesos), and vegan cheese.

amazing food - Edit

Don’t get the daily menu if you’re really hungry as the portions are not big enough, but everything else is fantastic and will fill you up. I love it. Get anything with seitan.

basic home cooking - Edit

Nice location on Plaza Brasil. Friendly service. Food is ok. My soup was watery with lots of veg stock, spaghetti was ok, cake was inedible. You’re far better off at Sapiens in Barrio Italia.

so good!! - Edit

Omg! Get the soy hamburger with cheese! It tasted exactly like a "regular" meat cheeseburger! The cheese was so melty and delicious, absolutely spot on!!! Don't skip out on dessert either, if they have a 3 layer tart (the layers looked like they were chocolate, vanilla, then caramel) 100% get this! If that's not available definitely try any of their other desserts though! This place is a must!

A bit too pricy - Edit

I went there two times to try the cakes. The first time I wasn't really good comparing with the price I paid, so I gave it a second chance, but it was the same again, a little portion and not so tasty for a high price.

Pros: Vegan, Area

Cons: Expensive

Nice food - Edit

We enjoyed the food and price is ok too. Also the service was good but we found it weird that they ask for tip at the end. Well I suppose it goes different in different places.

Pros: Food is nice, Price is fine, Nice location

Cons: Strange to ask for tip

Not enough. - Edit

The menu of the day is composed of a salad or a soup and the main.
But clearly, after that, still hungry.
So I took a banana tiramisu, good.

The dishes were simple, not bad, not good.

Price of the menu: 3500 chp

Pros: Location, Price, Calm

Cons: Small portion, Not very friendly staff

good vegan experience! - Edit

The restaurant is in a second floor space located in a gorgeous historical building. The food was good quality, and flavorful. The service was relaxed, and ok as we were not in a hurry. We sat at a window overlooking the park across the street and had a lovely time.

Nice enough but more expensive than it seems - Edit

I had the menu del día for 3,500 pesos. I had not had much breakfast and it is not sufficient food for that circumstance: you should only go if you want a very light lunch. Both courses were fine, but the portions were very small and the salad really only consisted of two different vegetables. I therefore also got ice cream for 1,500. Again it was pleasant, but more icy than creamy. A strange thing was also that the waiter did not know any of the ice creams that were available, and when he came back from the kitchen they included none of the many listed in the menu. A touch I really didn't like was that they have coffee-themed table mats covered in English words including 'milk' and 'cream'. This really isn't appropriate for a vegan venue: it's not like other mats aren't easily available and it's also not a coffee shop anyway. The waiter spoke very fast and unclear Spanish, not accommodating my being a foreigner at all. When it came to pay by card the waiter asked if I wanted to add a tip, which was very awkward as I was just about to be paid and knew I couldn't afford to give anything more, and he looked really shocked when I declined. It was literally the only time that I had ever eaten out in Chile and I didn't know that tipping is essentially obligatory, so I would like to apologize for that. On the other hand, this additional cost would be enough to put me off from returning there, and it also puts me off from trying other places in Chile unless the reviews are really excellent.

Pros: It is all vegan., It was located near where I was staying., The windows open out onto a nice square.

Cons: The portions are very small., The table decorations are off-puttingly non-vegan., The food is not exciting.

Tasty Sandwiches! - Edit

So this place was walking distance from our AirBnB and it's VEGAN(but you knew that) My sandwich was quite good, but my wife and the Raulí with carmalized onions. It was so delish. I skipped the pictures because they weren't so photogenic, but what they lacked in looks they made up for in flavor.

Pros: centrally located, vegan ice cream

Really good! - Edit

A very nice restaurant, where all the products are vegan. It offers a daily manu, a long variety of sandwiches, specials french fries, delicious pies and ice creams. It's really worth an oportunity! The best vegan food I've ever had in Chile.

Pros: good value, beautiful place, excellent food
