Best iced chai ever

I had the soy chai and the coconut chai and I’ve been constantly chasing those chai’s ever since. My godddd please go if you’re in Pai - we unfortunately missed the open mic night but ended up going to the one at Jazz House which was good too😄

No vegan breakfast

They had no smoothie bowls anymore and just some dishes with egg for breakfast! But the place looks very cozy and also the drinks

Uses non-vegan Lactasoy

There is no food anymore, only drinks.

They are famous for their chai tea. They also have herbal teas, coffee, etc. Be warned, they use the original Lactasoy variety which contains milk powder. The owner told me they use a vegan soy milk but I asked to see it because I know their sister branch in Koh Phangan uses the non vegan brand. When he showed it to me I had to point out to him that what he just said is not true lol. They do have coconut milk, so ask for that instead.

Lovely hot chocolate and banana bread

Due to the upset caused by covid their opening hours are different to advertised. So by the time we actually had some food/drinks here it was our 3rd try.

After reading some bad reviews about the chick pea burger which was the only available food we just had hot chocolates and banana bread which was all delicious. A lovely place to hang out, friendly people and lovely decoration. They have guitars and other instruments which they allowed me to play.

delicious vegan chai

I had the iced version of the masala chai, with coconut milk to veganise it. It was so delicious, and also refreshing on such a hot day. I also had the raw spring rolls which were good too.

The place itself has both floor and chair seating. I enjoyed sitting cross-legged on the floor for a while, and hearing Indian music playing in the background😄

Cons: not fully vegan

Nice

I had a nice coconut milk porridge, my husband had a good mushroom burger, with very nice consistency.
Chai was also very good.

Pros: Central located

Cons: Charge for charging electronics.

Good chai, bad burger

Edit: they swapped to the vegan soymilk version a year later, so yay!

///Be aware that they use the blue Lactasoy milk, which contains milk solids. I pointed this out to the staff, hoping that they would switch. 2 weeks later they still use the same soymilk. Considering this place advertises as a vegan-friendly place this is not cool. You might be better off choosing coconut milk if going here instead. Or go to a different vegan-friendly restaurant, there are many in Pai! ///

Pros: good iced chai, nice atmosphere

Cons: they use plastic straws, Be aware of honey , products

Limited food options; no vegan breakfast

The food menu only had a couple of vegan items in it when I went, and they don't do the vegan breakfast meal as seen in the photos.

Yummiest Chai EVER

Stumbled across this place when we were wandering down the smaller backstreets in Pai. We hadn’t had a chai since leaving the UK and they have a very big chai menu, so thought we’d stop for a drink. I had a hot chai with coconut milk and my boyfriend had the same but iced. Most amazing taste and flavours, well priced and gorgeous interior to chill out in. My hot chai also came in a super big mug which was lush! Although we didn’t eat there, they had a small range of vegan food and also homemade vegan chocolate cake.

Chill, homey vibes

This place is so lovely! There was a beautifully eclectic cool crew of locals playing instruments. I ordered a coconut chai and vegan chocolate cake and felt like I was transported to a different era. Otto, the owner, is so warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for a pick me up and a place to relax. Perfect on a rainy afternoon!

Good shakes and cake

Can't comment on the cooked dishes as didn't have a full meal here. The vegan chocolate cake was decent (may have just been so long since I'd had it) and their banana and coconut milk shake was delicious.
Not the cheapest place going though

Food seriously needs improvement

Ordered the chickpea burger, and whilst it looked pretty when it came out, it was probably the driest and most bland burger I have ever eaten. Loaded it with ketchup and mustard to actually taste something. It definitely needs a nice homemade sauce and some herbs and spices added to the patty. The chips were good however there were only 4 of them. Prices ok. I wouldn’t go back here. The burger at fat cat cafe is better. Only redeeming thing was that the chai tea was nice. Also to clarify, they do charge you to charge your device, 10 baht per hour.

Pros: The chai was nice

Cons: Bland burger , 4 chips, Tiny menu

I love this place

I go here almost every day. Thai tea with coconut milk(60 baht) is amazing, chill atmosphere. Burgers are really good and have side salad. Avocado burger is 90 baht. They definitely do not charge for charging your device. I have worked there on computer for like a month.

Pros: Tasty food, good athmosphere, friendly staff

Cons: More costly than cheap place

Place charges you for charging you laptop and other electrical devices.

Had to clear my own table of empty plates and got charged 40 baht for charging laptop by staff or owner. I though he was joking

Pros: Lots of music

Cons: Food is okay, No service

Good vegan chai

Good for chai and snack, more like a very nice cafe/tea room full of character with pleasant ambiance. Food is vegetarian but not healthy. Tasty though. But for my lunches and dinners For the next week I’ll try to find somewhere else in town

cosy cafe with a few good vegan options

This place is a cafe rather than a proper restaurant, so the food menu is limited, but has a few tasty vegan options. The real attractions for me are the great atmosphere, elaborate choice of teas and well stocked book corner.

Pros: many different teas, great chai that can be made vegan, lovely atmosphere

Cons: limited food options

An ok place to relax with a coffee and book

They have a good selection of tea and coffee which can be made vegan.

I ordered the vegan chocolate cake which was very mediocre. It was pretty dry and seemed like it had been sitting around for a while. I definitely wouldn't get it again.

I saw another customer's chickpea burger served and it looked very dry and disappointing.

I think the place is overhyped to be honest.

Pros: All drinks can be made vegan.

Cons: Food is a little expensive and not very good.

A community hotspot

This cute and popular place is more of a community than a restaurant. The limited choice of food is very good. The events regularly held there are outstanding. The open microphone nights are beautiful :) It seems a genuinely caring and progressive place. Well, they have anti-plastic-waste water refills :)

Pros: Events, Meeting place

Disappointed

Went there for a quick bite and took the chickpea burger. Super dry and not that tasty. It comes with baked potatoes - exactly 4 small potatoes that is.

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere

Cons: Dry burger , Small portion

More of a tea house than a restaurant

When we got there there was almost nothing left on the menu except for a mushroom burger and potato wedges.. We ordered the wedges and a chai tea, both were great. Wish the place had better service (had to go to the counter to order), wish there were more food options and stock of ingredients.

Nice vibe, looks like they have live music or open mic nights. Not hard to find either and in the heart of Pai.

Pros: Great for tea, good location

Cons: Limited menu, no service

Cozy and cute

The staff were nice, the menu clearly marked which items were vegan. I loved the vegan chickpea burger, they toasted the bun which was a nice touch.
