Cozy place but decent food

Pros: Atmosfera, Lunch menu, Staff

Cons: Qualità cibo

Perfect little getaway

Tree-house style getaway where you can surround yourself with books. Sockets to plug in as you work in this tranquil environment. I had the lunch set (soup a mix of dishes) for 100THB, and a refill for 50THB. The mains were lukewarm, but that's genuinely the only criticism I could find. Delicious food and super peaceful place. Incredible WiFi speed too!

Great relaxed place

This is a good stop, be it for a coffee or full lunch. Friendly staff, good food with good portion sizes and quite cheap. And lots of options to choose from.

Pros: Good food, nicely made up, Great variety, Cheap

Decent food

Art Café is a nice and cozy place.
The smoothly bowls are good. I also had the vegan sandwich once which was good too.
They also offer buffet now for 100 b (have not tried it)

The food is decent and it’s nice to visit it once while on the island but it’s not my favorite cafe on the island

Great Vegan BLT!!

Lovely cosy place to go and eat breakfast, has a cool vibe!

Fully vegetarian so plenty of vegan options which include smoothie bowls, sandwiches, fresh spring rolls etc.

I had the BLT with vegan bacon and it was super tasty! Came with salad, some fruit and a dijon mustard dip which was nice.
Portions are pretty big here so you definitely won't go hungry!

Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Would definitely go back again, so it's a thumbs up from me!

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Quaint Bohemian setting with a relaxed hippie vibe. Floor cushions and a library with books you can read. Also sells some natural and organic personal care products and some zeros waste items. Lots of vegan options to choose from (including desserts), a range of teas, and great coffee. Soy, almond, and coconut plant milks available. We had the piña colada smoothie bowl, sunflower salad, and the banana bread. Love the fact that you can choose the toppings for your smoothie bowl as well. Portion sizes are very generous, ingredients fresh and the taste is ON POINT. 10/10. 3 hot drinks, smoothie bowl, salad, and a banana bread was around 700 baht - good value if you ask me. If you’re in Koh Phangan near Haad Son then this place is must try. 🌱💚🌱

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Quirky setting with friendly staff, Huge portions

Good Smoothie Bowls

This long withstanding restaurant used to be veg-friendly but went fully veggie a few years ago. Although they do have quite a bit of vegan food you will need to ask a lot of questions as nothing is labelled vegan. When I asked the staff about a few items they said not vegan as it contains coconut milk which made me worry that they don't understand what vegan is....
It's a really cool little chilled place with lots of floor seating and cushions, a library with lots of books to read (not borrow or buy) and a rustic and hippy feel to the place. Some of the food is really good such as the smoothie bowls as they are fairly cheap for Koh Phangan and one of the only places I know of where you can choose your own toppings from a big list. They also have several desserts and lots of savoury dishes such as salads, Thai food etc.
Wide range of teas and coffees available and they use vegan milk.

Pros: Vegan friendly, Nice atmosphere, Cheap

Cons: Vegan options aren't specifically marked as such, Staff don't seem clear on what vegan is

I wrote this review 5 years ago! It was just veg-friendly then. It has been fully veggie since a couple of years ago.

Overrated but nice atmosphere

Very chilled atmosphere with a lot of books and great vibe if you don't sit outdoors (trafic noise)
However I found the quality price ratio was not great.

Cons: Not vegan

The food was ok, but to expensive for what you get. You also have to pay 20 baht per small bottle for water refill, which isn‘t the case in other restaurants. The ambiente is nice.

Pros: Nice place

Cons: Expensive, Breakfast wasnt the best

Was ok.

We ate one meal at this restaurant and the food was tasty. There are so many options nearby it was just ok, not amazing. They charge to fill up water bottles. The burrito is mostly sweet potato. Not very exciting. Fresh spring rolls were good. Apple orchard salad was good.

Pros: Many options, Some tables with chairs

Cons: So much competition makes it hard to stand out, Allows smoking so we smelled smoke during meal. , Staff photographed us while eating. Ask first.

Really nice pad thai + fresh orange juice

A bit pricey place, but pad thai (brown rice noodles) was really nice and reasonably priced (100B). A lot of fresh veggies and sprouts!! A big portion, but not as fatty and heavy as some.. Also orange juice was tasty. Staff is LOVELY and the place itself is super cozy to chill..!

Pros: Atmosphere , Pad Thai

Cons: Expensive

Reasonable, be cautious

Look, it was fine.
Nice ambience and vibe, love all the books. Some questionable stuff on the walls (not sure a photo of some Indian dude from the 80s with a performing monkey considers said animal his ‘friend’), and a definite need to be wary about what you order. If you order something vegetarian, make sure to specify vegan if you are (lest your salad be drenched in mayo and rendered inedible).
Food was a touch expensive for what it is, and needed salt / pepper / spices to compensate for it being a bit bland.
Not bad, not great. It was our second time back in as many years, and we had a similar experience last time.
With the range of superb alternative options nearby, we won’t go back.

Pros: Good vibes , All veg or vegan , Fun takeaway cakes

Cons: Food bit bland , Tends toward expensive

Lousy food! only one star! (the app doesn't let me)

The place looks nice but the food is awful, not much diversity too
Ordered mussli n fruits bowl, got charged extra for coconut yugort, it was realy bad and made me a stomach ake.
Even my non vegan friend, who ordered eggs, said it doesn't taste like one

Lovely place!

Super chill place. They serve vegetarian and vegan dishes, drinks and cakes. I had a pad thai which was super fresh, colourful and tasty and a matcha tea with coconut milk which was very nice as well.
They also sell reusable water bottles - and you can refill yours - and a few products - coconut oil, mosquito repellent... And there is plenty of books to flick through.
The staff isn't very talkative but the service is good and the prices are very reasonable.

Decent food, cozy atmosphere

It's a nice relaxed setting with a living room atmosphere. We had a burger and smoothie bowl. Burger was fine, but smoothie bowl really only tasted like banana, could not taste any of the other fruits which were supposed to be in it, that was a shame. What we did really like was the fresh banana bread, so we would recommend going there for tea and banana bread.

Pros: Cozy atmosphere, Nice staff, Decent food

Cons: Books and everything a bit old and moldy

Cons: Smoking staff, Small portions

I had slightly lower expectations of this place because of some of the reviews on here, but honestly I am very impressed, so much so we keep going back!
First visit we arrived after walking all the way from Haad Salad beach in intense heat, and anyone who knows that hilly route knows we were mad for walking it. They gave us fresh cold water as soon as we sat down and our order arrived quickly.
Firstly the smoothie bowl, which was such a treat after that walk and packed with flavour.
You really HAVE to try their smoothie bowls - most delicious I've had yet.
Then we had the falafel pita, which was quite like a burger - it was really yummy. Not thee best vegan food out there, but definitely better than many places here.
We then had an Americano and coconut milk latte, with banana bread and chocolate cake. Coffee was best on island so far and the desserts were perfect moistness - overall really good!
Prices are very reasonable for what you get, staff are friendly, whole place is really nice, cosy and natural - free WiFi and a library is a big plus too. There are a fair few insects about, but this place is tucked away into foliage so it's a given.
Really do like this place and will be back for a 4th visit before we leave - I recommend coming here, even just for a refreshing smoothie bowl. Shame they do serve meat, otherwise they'd get 5 stars.

We just went there to get in some vegan desserts after along time of not having some.
We tried the chocolate cake the chocolate muffin and the banana bread.
Everything was not over sweetened and definitely satisfied us!
They could had been a bit more moist!
Really relaxed atmosphere!
