High expectations - Edit

I had heard so much about this place and had been planning to go for a while. I work in the mines in aus so once I came home for a week was determined to go there with my wife. Made it there the next day and tried the smokey seitan burger and the chocolate peanut butter shake. The burger was nice with vegan cheese and mayo. Bun was nice and was filling. They had lots of other options that made it hard to choose from. If you're indecisive I'd say choose the bowl option at the counter and you get lots of different yummy options. The shake was nice but a bit overpriced $8.80 and I make the same thing for breakfast using banana cacao almond milk and peanut butter.

Pros: Lots of options. Friendly staff Great atmosphere

Cons: Bit over priced shake

Pretty good, enjoy! - Edit

Lovely bread for the bun, great big size, felt like a real American juicy burger. The vegan cheese was tasty, mayo sauce and all components good. $12 for the burger was a bit much, but other options looked good, so I'd go back to try those.

That hit the spot - Edit

I over ordered cause i couldn't decide. I then over ate cause my stomach has shrunk (steam bun, satays, spring rolls and a burger). Completely satisfying.

All Plant-Based! - Edit

Great place in a stylish food court. Potstickers and Satay Kebabs were tasty, and everything else looked fantastic for a bigger meal. Great tea as well. Definitely worthwhile.

Dinner. Dine in. - Edit

We had a delicious meal at Aroha. The Malaysian curry and the spicy Satan sticks are devine! Not having to think which items are Vegan was an absolute pleasure. The staff are very pleasant and happy to accommodate requests. This restaurant has become a favourite.

Pros: Delicious Vegan food, Great vibe, Helpful staff

Cons: Longer evening opening hours would be good., Maybe more dinner options, I would like to live closer to the restaurant

Good value and lots of options - Edit

I had the power bowl so you can choose your own ingredients, they had a good range of options. Tasted great! It's in a food court so there's a nice buzz, and it was one of the busiest counters.

Good fast food - Edit

Great flavours, pretty small portions so needed to buy an assortment of dishes but that worked well because we go to taste a lot! Curry Roti and the satay skewers were a hit with me and their smoothies too.

Full of effort - Edit

Situated in a new food court Aroha (which is the Maori word for love) is a collection of passionate folk wanting to make good food for everyone. I went for dinner and got the BBQ Seitan and Pineapple fried rice. While it did take a little while to come out, the portion was good and the meal had a homely feel to it - almost like a friend had made it. Staff were friendly and full of smiles. My meal and a bottle of iced tea from their coke branded fridge (that has no coke in it 😂) came to $20. I look forward to stopping in again next time I'm in Welly.

Pros: Friendly staff, easy location, food made with love

Cons: Not on the cheap side
