Brunch buffet had very few vegan options

I went for their day spa and had the brunch buffet. We had informed them in advance that one of us was vegan.

I had been there years ago and remember it to be a lot better. Was disappointed by the buffet. Most of the cold food and salad was mixed with non vegan ingredients and none of the hot food options were vegan. Even the potatoes had milk protein. There was hummus though.

They did offer me a vegan burger with fries but that's not the type of food I was hoping for when I signed up for brunch. They brought me a separate salad which was quite plain.

The waffle mix was vegan. There was a small fridge with oat milk, vegan yoghurt and margarine, vegan caviar, cheese and pate.

Pros: There were some vegan options although limited, The waffle mix was vegan , There were signs showing allergens on most foods

Cons: The vegan buffet options were limited, None of the desserts were vegan apart from fruit

Fantastic vegan three-course

August 2024, Okay, so this is not a classic restaurant, although you can go here and just eat, but above all you eat here when you are at Arken's wonderful SPA! When we were here, we had a three-course meal. If you eat vegan, you get your own menu with three preselected dishes, and they are absolutely wonderful. We also ordered a wine package and the flavors combined...fantastic! For starters I had asparagus, for main course bulgogi and for dessert elderberry mousse. Really nice and really tasty. The environment is also wonderful!

October 2024, Again a really good, vegan three-course dinner. This time, portabello for starters, lace cabbage with yellow beets for main course and a wonderful coconut pannacotta with mango sorbet for dessert. Together with paired wine, it was really good! For breakfast the next day, there was vegan bread, with several different toppings, yogurt, waffles, and I could also order scrambled tofu with tofu bacon. Really good food!!
