Small vegetarian restaurant located in a mall around the corner from the famous baroque church, Iglesia de la Compania in Old Town Quito. Brown rice with veggies and faux meat, fruit juice, and more. Large portions. Popular with locals at lunch time. May be difficult to find. Confirmed closed, Mar '21.

Friendly, big portion for low price - Edit
As with other restaurants in Quito, you get a plate of the day for $3. The portions were very big, and you can add a soup / juice for 10 cents each.
Read moreThere's a menu of other things you can order, but we just had the lunch of the day. It was filling and good but not our favorite place in the area.
The woman working was really friendly.
Overall, it's good, but we liked another place better and went there every day.
Pros: No meat, Friendly, Big portions

Good vegan lunch - Edit
The location of the restaurant is inside the Galerias Sucre building, upper floor. You will see some indications inside the building, next to the stairs.
Read moreTheir lunch is the cheapest one in Quito, 2,75$ and consists of soup, main, hot souce, tea AND juice and small fruit dessert.
The food was good.
The staff is friendly.
The place gets busy at the lunch time. Free wifi.

Cheap food - Edit
One of a few places in Old Town with vegetarian food. Several vegan options. A lunch costs 2.75, which is one of the cheapest options in Quito. Pretty tasty for this price and includes soup, main course and juice and tea with very small portion of a dessert. Can be crowded. A bit difficult to find (you need to go inside a bulding and then to the second floor).

Fresh lunch menu - Edit
Set lunch menu for 3 USD (soup, main, juice, water, fruit). A little bit hidden in the back of a courtyard and on the second floor.

Can't complain for the price - Edit
The food wasn't amazing but for 2.75 dollars so what can you expect! Had the set menu of a soup and main dish. It was ok but not the best in my personal opinion. Maybe other things on the menu would of been better to have! Also I am vegan and it's a vegetarian restaurant so maybe the veggie options are better than the vegan ones!

Delicious complete meal! $2.75 - Edit
I didn't ask but I think it was even vegan! For a really good price 2.75 we got delicious soup with fake meat, a dish with rice, fried eggplant, salad, veggies, beans and a little bit of fruit as dessert. The owner was really friendly and we had a nice little talk ^^

Excellent value - Edit
I had the "Plato del día" at $2.75. Delicious. I especially like the hot, homemade chilli sauce condiment.

Fantastic little spot for breakfast - Edit
This is a great little place for a reasonably priced and delicious vegan breakfast. We got fresh juices and a bowl of fruit salad that had oats and even vegan yogurt. The owner was really friendly and because it’s inside, upstairs it’s a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.

Nice small place with decent food - Edit
I ate here a few times while in Quito. The place isn't too hard to find, just know that it's upstairs once you walk in the building. It gets full at lunch time so you may share a table with others. They mainly sever the Almeurzo lunch but you can also select something off the menu. They do not speak English so be sure to have some words down if you have any diet restrictions. I am vegan and all the times I ate there I could have eat everything that came with the main lunch. I believe it was $3.50.

Pleasant Place - Edit
The restaurant was not difficult to find at all. It is a small intimate and pleasant place with a limited menu that is in Spanish. However the lady was very considerate and phoned someone to come and help me with the menu. However, in spite of his best efforts, I got lost in the translation, and instead of ordering the typical lunch meal that almost everyone around me was having, I ended with a very disappointing Chinese style stir fry noodle. The portion was huge. I had the naranjia juice that was very good. It gets very crowded at lunch time, and all the tables become communal tables.
