Tiny spot, big flavor - Edit
This place has very quickly become a go-to spot for me. Tucked away on a side street, the interior is bright and cheerful; the food’s hot, fresh, and tasty. I particularly like the eggplant arepa- it tastes like summer moving into fall.

There’s a clearly-marked “Vegarian” menu but it’s not always clear which are vegan vs vegetarian. But even a lot of the vegetarian options can be made with no cheese.

Good bowls - Edit
For those who think the arepas are too oily (I don’t!), try a bowl. Pictured is the Pabellon Criollo with no cheese and Susanna filling. Delicious, real food.

Oily but good - Edit
I thought the arepas and empanadas were great! The soyrizo was tasty. I appreciated the fact that there were good options and a few of them too. However, the food was super oily. We at there, and when we left, our clothes smelled like grease.

Very oily - Edit
Pretty good arepas and empanadas with vegan options. We tried the soy chorizo and eggplant, as well as a side of plantains.

super flavorful Venezuelan food - Edit
I forget the name of the menu item I got but my bowl consisted of rice, black beans, fried plantains, vegan chorizo, and a mini arepa. I got the avocado salsa and red salsa on the side and highly recommend both of those, they were super flavorful. My friend got vegan chorizo empanadas with garlic sauce on the side and enjoyed those as well! Aside from the delicious food we got, what I loved about Arepittas is that they don't just have one vegan menu item, but an entire vegetarian menu with multiple vegetable and plant protein options. Next time I go back I am very excited to try the eggplant!
