Mehhh.. just okay

While the portions are rather large, they are just okay..nothing spectacular. The black beans were overcooked and pasty. I wanted to buy a bottle of their vegan cilantro sauce but was told they didn't have any and I should try to come over the weekend. I live an hour away🥲 For 2 arepas and a fountain drink, the total was almost $19!!! I don't think I'll be back. It was a very lackluster experience

Pros: 😬😬

Cons: Very expensive, Underwhelming

Okay

The vegan options are just okay. My partner really enjoyed his non-vegan arepas though so it might be an okay compromise for dining out with non-vegans.

Delicious (vegan) arepas

I had given up on Arepas since the place that I used to go, Guasaca, has dairy in their arepas. I came here to try some side orders and was thrilled that their Arepas themselves are Vegan.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and, when they found out I was a vegan, made specific suggestions and answered any question I had. I had a vegan arepa (peppers, black beans, tomatoes, and avocado) with a side order of fried plantains, no cheese, and it was very filling. I even really enjoyed the vegan creamy cilantro sauce… And I don’t even like sauces. I’m glad to have found this restaurant.

Pros: Kind and friendly staff, Very vegan knowledgeable , Fast service

Cons: slightly pricey for a fast service restaurant

Vegan Venezuelan

This used to be only available from one of their two food trucks. Now, they have a sit down permanent location in Raleigh.
I got the La Domino and El Beyond, both with a “make it vegan” option. It’s clearly marked on the menu, so that is nice. They also now make a vegan green sauce and it is perfect on the arepas.

Pros: Fresh food, Friendly staff, Affordable

Cons: Would like a few more vegan options
