An excellent diversity of vegan small plates made for one of the best meals I’ve had in months. Jesus provided excellent service and catering towards veganism.

Beautiful venue, great staff, lovely food - Edit
Really wonderful restaurant, great atmosphere and with a laid-back vibe that I appreciated. The food was excellent - we had a variety of mezze dishes to start, and I (as the only vegan) had the vegetable amphora. It tasted fantastic, and the theatre of how it's presented is great fun. Our waiter, Jesus, was kind and good-humoured all evening, and very attentive to clearing the table and keeping us stocked with bread and drinks. The venue has a clear vegetarian/vegan section, but be sure to let them know that you're vegan when ordering, and they'll make sure your food is prepared accordingly.

Amazing. - Edit
It's a lovely athmosphere. Little hidden gem off from the main area. Super cozy, well designed and just a lovely spot to zit down for a dinner. Music is very settle traditional turkish, not in your face and ears which I really liked.
Read moreFood was super tasty and well done. I had vegtarian casserole.
Menu was clear, well labeled and descriptive.
Staff was nothing but lovely. My waiter Diljan was amazingly helpful, gave me spot on recommendations and attended me at right times. It's refreshing to get a service like this in Istanbul. He is there when you need him, but he is not pushy.
Absolutely loved the experience and would highly recommend this to anyone searching good veg options in town.
Pros: The staff (My waiter Diljan), Food, The athmodphere
Cons: You'll need reservation for bigger groups

We had a very nice dinner, the staff was very aware of veganism and there were many options. The mezzes were good. Main course was okay, way too much oil, which i normally like, but was overboard.

labeled menu, great food - Edit
love the restaurant atmosphere, and the menu has all items that are vegan, vegetarian, or containing gluten labeled, which was super nice - the food was also delicious, had the meze, lentil patty casserole dish, and a vegan dessert (candied pumpkin with tahini), and they also gave us free turkish delight at the end, great experience

Authentic and vegan-friendly - Edit
Turkish cuisine. Very many clearly-marked vegan options on the menu. I had a vegan börek and an eggplant dish, both excellent, total about 28€ which seemed fair. The ambiance is nice and historical, set in a very old building (byzantine?) with exposed ancient brickwork inside. Server Bali was kind and efficient, good English too!

As there are very few fully veg restaurants in Istanbul, the restaurant should consider becoming fully vegetarian or vegan as most of the menu could be kept!

Bone in my dinner - Edit
Horrified to find a lamb bone in my dinner. Initially thought it tasted of lamb, but assumed it was the pot it was served in that was causing the odd flavour. Then bit down into a bone. I am a veterinary surgeon so there was no mistaking the animal bone in my dinner. I find this pretty inexcusable. The waiter initially tried to tell me it was definitely vegan, but then backed down when I pointed out the bone I handed to him. He apologised and took the main off the bill and gave us some free wine, but the damage was done. I very strongly recommend choosing a different restaurant.

Dear Holly,
Read moreI’m truly sorry for the mistake that happened with your vegan order during your last visit. It was an unfortunate mix-up caused by a trainee who was helping with orders while we were short-staffed — but the responsibility is fully mine as the owner.
I completely understand how disappointing this was, especially after you had enjoyed your first experience with us. We’ve since reviewed our order and kitchen procedures carefully to make sure this never happens again.
Thank you for your honesty and for giving us the chance to learn from this. I sincerely hope we can welcome you back someday and provide the thoughtful experience you expected and deserve.
Warm regards,

Amazing Turkish Food, Wonderful Setting - Edit
We had the chance to stumble upon this little gem in Istanbul.
Read moreThey have plenty of clearly identified vegan food as well as veg and omni food on offer.
We had a choice of 3 Mezze plate and 2 different casseroles.
Everything was absolutely delicious.
The service is A (Diljan our server was warm and super helpful).
The place looks as good as the food taste to booth. There's also good music, and perfect lighting.
It's not the cheapest restaurant, but worth every Lira.
Cannot recommend this place enough. 👌

Great service and food in a lovely setting - Edit
There are plenty of vegan options on the menu and plenty of different ways to experience what Arch Bistro has to offer. I had hummus and bread to start followed by the veg casserole with lentil patties for the main. My partner has a fire pot (non-vegan) and the show was spectacular. The hosting was also very attentive and patient. We visited for an early lunch so it was quiet in the restaurant but the ambience and atmosphere was perfect for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Arch! They offer a wide variety of vegan and gluten free options. We ordered the eggplant shaksuka salad and mushroom casserole - both were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Diljan was very kind to us and made sure to meet all of our dietary needs. He also gave us a free dessert. Highly recommend and will be back again!

Great place in the historical center of Istanbul - Edit
Arch bistro provides an extensive menu with both vegan and vegetarian options. I've had the vegie fire pot casserole which tasted amazin. The menu clearly indicates which options are vegan or vegetarian (or contains gluten). Apart from having a great menu, it is also a very cosy restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Great place to eat vegan. A lot of options. And the scenery within the stone cellar filled wine bottles and pottery is very welcoming. Had the green lentil patties casserole bedded in Kash-kek. Highly recommend.
