Lots of wheat but not many good options in Guatemala - Edit
Food is good, place is nice and since there aren't many options in Guatemala, this place is great.

A vegetarian oasis in Central America - Edit
This place has excellent food (with plenty of vegan options), a fantastic atmosphere, and is reasonably priced. The owner (Tony) is American/Guatemalan and has been running the restaurant for a very long time. The recipes have been passed down through the generations and the food is delicious - soups, salads, lasagna/pasta, sandwiches, macadamia nut pie - everything is done well. Social justice and animal rights themes are prevalent without being in-your-face. Beautiful garden. Overall, an oasis for vegetarians in Central America!

What a Treat! - Edit
Very vegan-friendly....I hardly had to ask and the waiter pointed out the vegan options. The lunch special came with soup, bread, a side salad, and a drink. I got the spinach soup, which was excellent. The broccoli, mushroom and brown rice cassarole was a bit bland. I livened it up with some of their excellent salad dressing.
The restaurant has a small outdoor dining area, which was a lovely place for lunch. The service was good, though I had to wait way to long for my change after I paid and was ready to leave.
Pros: Fresh, healthy food, Good value
