What an experience! - Edit

My boyfriend and I went to Apulia last night and had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had!!

The owner is fairly young, enthusiastic guy from the Puglia region of Italy, if you don't know where this is, don't worry he will definitely show you! He speaks very little English and we speak very little French and Italian but this didn't dampen his enthusiasm to share and give us the full Apulia experience.

One of the first things he asked was if we were vegetarian or vegan. I'm vegetarian and my boyfriend is vegan. He then went through the entire menu explaining each ingredient, how it's made and how he will make it vegan for my boyfriend.

Everything he makes has a story to it and it is all delectable. Flavours you would never think to put together create breathtaking meals. Everything is incredible fresh which adds to the meal. The basil olive oil in particular that you start with is to die for and I wasn't a big fan of olive oil prior to my visit.

The restaurant is very small and intimate which fits the experience perfectly. We ended up spending 3 and a half hours there and couldn't even manage to dessert we were so full.

Can't recommend going and experiencing Apulia and it's wonderful owner for yourself!

Wonderful! - Edit

Other Paris restaurants had left me slightly disappointed (isn't french food supposed to be something out of the ordinary?) when on our last evening in Paris we visited Apulia and it was an absolutely wonderful experience!! Simple but delicious italian food and every dish came with a story. The chef/waiter was very entertaining.

Fantastic! - Edit

We had the most wonderful evening not only due to the great traditional Italian dishes that we enjoyed so much but the owner is so funny and entertaining! He can't speak English but we managed ok. He knows vegan and can easily adapt dishes to vegan, in fact both desserts on tonight's menu were vegan. The evening took us to Southern Italy! Loved it! Make sure you book ahead and tell him if you are vegan.

Unpretentious, unforgettable dining experience - Edit

Enjoy the finest Italian cuisine from Chef, maître d', and raconteur Giovanni's home region of Puglia. High quality ingredients, simply prepared in creative and original combinations by a man who clearly cares deeply about food and authentically shares his passion with his guests.

This is an intimate and personal dining experience - think being transported to the kitchen of a Southern Italian home. Don't be in a rush, bring good company, and enjoy the ride. Deserves five stars even for not being a vegetarian restaurant - Giovanni is completely accommodating of diners needs and restrictions (but do phone ahead!).

N.B. Best enjoyed by parties including at least one person capable of communicating clearly in French or Italian.

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Personal dining experience

Cons: Not ideal for monolingual anglophones, Not suitable for dine-and-dash, Not suitable for large (10+) parties

Delicious and creative food, enthusiastic cook - Edit

The owner of this place is also the cook and does the service. He is over-enthusiastic about his food and will spend 10 minutes explaining the whole menu (which is short - 3 choices of starters and meals, 2 choices of deserts). It makes for a great appetizing-show in itself !

The food is creative and delicious - event though the basis is "only" pasta. Delicious olive oil is everywhere. Desert with chocolate and olive oil. Pastas with eggplants and chocolate (without sugar)...

As the restaurant is a little italian grocery shop during the day you can also buy the products to try to make this delicious food at home.
