Beautiful Location

We had been here twice at one day. For some afternoon cake, coffee and dinner. They had some vegetarian and vegan options plant based milk alternatives.

Great for sich a small city to have vegan options 😊

Pros: Toller Garten, Wunderschöne Atmosphäre

The best

love this place so much! The food is always delicious and much of the produce is grown in the gardens (which you can walk around). Been coming here since I was young, and each time I come I appreciate it even more. The staff are super nice people.

There are many veggie and vegan options (more veggie than vegan), but meat and fish is also served here.

Lovely garden cafe/ restaurant

Walked into lovely garden area. Had really good oat milk latte. Ordered homemade vegan option burger which was really tasty but came in a mass of airy chips with no thought to presentation. Would have benefited with slaw, salad and relish.

Pros: Few choices of vegan options

Cons: Ok value for money lacked presentation

Lovely place

We visited the Walled Garden twice on our trip to Applecross. They have a menu in the window which is clearly marked with vegan options, and those which can be made vegan. It's worth checking this before you go in because the menus we were given both times were not marked.
When we visited there were 2 fully vegan starters and 1 which could be made vegan, and 1 fully vegan main and 2 which could be made vegan.
On the first night we opted to share the Hummus starter and the Caponata starter. The Caponata was the stand out dish of the night, absolutely delicious. We then both had the gnocchi for our main. It was cooked to perfection, and the flavours were light and simple. I was disappointed there were no tomatoes in it as mentioned in the menu, but it was still lovely.
The 2nd night I had the burger. To make it vegan they removed the sauce and swapped the brioche bun for a morning roll. The patty itself was delicious, lovely and moist with big chunks of beetroot. And the onion rings were to die for. So big and chunky!
Service was with a smile, and the setting is divine!

Pros: Helpful staff with good vegan knowledge

Cons: Vegan options not marked on Menu at table

Lovely surroundings

We ended up here as there was nowhere else locally that served vegan food or was open. The gnocchi was amazing! We shared Houmous and toasted sourdough bread to start and capanata on sourdough. The were expensive, but delicious. The gnocchi was fresh and a big portion. Lovely restaurant and staff

Pros: Allows dogs, Beautiful surroundings
