Super good food! I wish I asked for the recipe for the mayo which was perfectly made. Really nice staff and nice location. Wish I had more time in Lisbon to go another time.
The only thing is it's a bit pricey compared to the cost of food in the city...

Real vegan C U I S I N E - Edit

This isn't just an usual vegan place, this is by far T H E best restaurant and best surprise I had for a while. The food served is creative with a traditional Portuguese kitchen touch.
The "fracesinha" seems to be one of the signature dishes and any Portuguese loves this one.
I'm still puzzled about certain flavors... how on earth did the chef recreate the "chouriço's" smoked flavor ?
And how did the patissier come up with a "snickers" pie ?
I'm still wondering. Maybe I'll found out on my next visit !

Pros: The food, Friendliness of staff , The open kitchen

Cons: None so far

OMG - Edit

I went once to try, and I came back few days later on my bday and I'm planning to come back much more often. Everything was surprisingly delicious. I'm still dreaming about the Oreo/peanut/cação pie, OMG!

nice place for a sit down meal - Edit

Probably should have tried this place for lunch but only had dinner here. we had had to reserve a table as we had turned up at 6:50 a couple of nights earlier and were informed that they don't do the dinner menu til 7:30pm and we weren't going to wait that long! I had a mushroom risotto and my partner had a seitan steak in sauce with sweet potato chips and salad. for a main course the portions were small, I would have rathered the meals be less pretty and bigger. but the food was tasty and I have no complaints there except for the fact they drowned the salad in oil and ruined it but I guess that is the way they like it in portugal. for dessert we both had chocolate, peanut butter and oreo pie and it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted though would be quite sickly if you had more than one piece. the mains ranged from €9- €12. it was our last night and we were having to cut back on cash however I think it would be best to go all out at this place and get starters as well and alcoholic drinks so that you can leave a bit more satisfied.

Pros: amazing cake, lovely presentation, nice atmosphere

Cons: small portions, opens late for dinner

Great Value - Edit

When I was reading reviews of Ao26 I was a bit concerned by some of the negative reviews. After several day in Lisbon I now see that these reviews are unfounded.
This place has the best quality/value ratio in addition to nice dining space, great waitstaff, fresh inspired food.
As is the case in most place in the world, lunch costs less than dinner.

Pros: Nice interior, Fresh inspired food, Great service

Amazing - Edit

Very nice and cute little restaurant. Staff was friendly and polite. The beetroot burger and the sweet potato fries were really tasty, super delicious.. but the best was the raw ferrero rocher cake! I definitely reccomend it :)

Good but overpriced - Edit

The food is good, although it relies too much on tofu and seitan. It could be more creative. Also the portions are small, and it's way too overpriced. Desserts are a must.

Pros: Desserts

Cons: Prices, Food could be more creative

Amazing!!1 - Edit

So pleased we decided to visit this restaurant on our latest trip to Lisbon (Nov/Dec 16)
I was already delighted it was all vegan but it just got better! We had olive oil, bread and olives for starter, seitan steak with sweet potato chips for main, I had a Ferrero Rocher (!) cake for dessert which was raw, sugar and gluten free and my husband had chocolate mousse.
Everything was presented beautifully, and tasted just as amazing as it looked. The service was excellent. I thought the price was reasonable too as it was about 30 euros for the two of us for a 3 course meal for each of us plus drinks. Loved it and will be returning in future! In the meantime, drooling over photos on their instagram page!

Pros: ALL vegan, beautiful presentation, friendly staff

Cons: need to book as very busy

Great spot ! - Edit

Loved this place! Some really interesting and satisfying food with a focus on Portugese cuisine.

Very friendly and helpful service and a buzzing atmosphere - the place was very busy as it was a Saturday night. I got lucky to get a table as I saw many people turned away who hadn't made a reservation.

Definitely go here if you want to try veganized Portugese food it's very well done !

Pros: All vegan and many traditional Portugese options, Friendly service , Nice atmosphere and layout

Cons: Can get quite busy - make a reservation

Best vegan restaurant in Lisbon - Edit

At this restaurant in Chiado district we had the best meal of our entire stay in Portugal! They use ingredients of great quality and definitely know how to cook. Prices are very reasonable.

The design of this restaurant is very modern and airy. They have an open kitchen. The menu isn’t as vast as in other places like PSI or Jardim dos Sentidos, but so I think everything is really made out of fresh ingredients. And as everything is vegan, there is still plenty to choose from. Some dishes are inspired by traditional Portuguese dishes.

We had a starter with mushrooms, then a vegan burger/ a dish with tofu, spinach and potato, and finally a chocolate mousse. Everything was great and I wish I could come back.

Pros: Excellent food!, Value for money!, Nice location!
