Waited an hour for soggy tacos on a Thursday night - Edit
Not much else to say than what's in the title, unfortunately very disappointed. I have a sneaking suspicion that there was some error and they forgot our order (as tables who arrived after us received their food before us) hence the long wait time, however there was no apology nor compensation when we were finally given our food.
Read moreWhen our dishes finally came, it was abysmal. As shown in the photos I've uploaded, the filling of the tacos fell IMMEDIATELY through the bottom of the tortilla. They WERE tasty (an extra star for taste), but I could hardly relish in the flavours because by the time I ate them I was starving... For the size of the portions and considering all these factors, it was also definitely not worth the money.
My partner (not vegan) also had burnt food and left half of it on the plate.

Soyrizo taco - Edit
I had x2 soy chorizo style tacos (made with tofu). Very tasty, I'm a bit delicate spice wise (this korma girl) and this was probably the max I can manage.

Delicious authentic mexican - Edit
I had a tamarind agua fresco drink which was very tasty. Lots of other interesting drinks. I had a fajita vegetable taco. Great corn shells and loads of fillings in the taco. Not sure about the spinach but otherwise very nice. Then I had the soyrizo nachos. Best corn chips I've had, you could see them deep frying them fresh. The filling was spicy and tasty with pinto beans and tofu mince. Could've used a little more freshness with more Pico de galo, avo. No vegan cheese but very nice nachos.

If you’re in Newcastle and looking for good Mexican, don’t waste your time elsewhere. Come here!! I had the nachos and they were the best vegan nachos I’ve ever had. Lots of other vegan options and a cool atmosphere inside.
