Stall not worth it but other events great - Edit
I don't like eating at the ESF stall, too long a wait and not good value for money. But Antojitos pop up events are excellent - keep an eye on social media. They previously had the kitchen at The Doghouse, Would love it if they got their own place like that again, like they have in Glasgow. A great local vegan business to support.

Nice flavours - Edit
I had a selection of their tacos. Some were better than others. Banana blossom was amazing! Quite expensive for the portion size but a fun offering

Great option in the capital! - Edit
This place is so central so it's absolutely perfectly situated. The southern fried pineapple taco was absolutely delicious whilst the barbacoa and banana blossom weren't as good to me (bearing in mind this was the first time I've tried tacos at all). I'd say with the combo of ingredients that it was good value for money (£12.50 for 3 mini tacos) but if I was getting again I'd order a side with it. The pineapple tacos I could eat all day though!

Nothing very special - Edit
We had the ch*kn tinga and the banana blossom tacos but they were just okay. The banana blossom tacos in particular tasted kind of boring.

So good 🤤 - Edit
Oh my god. It was so good. The Quesa Birria Tacos (with juicy marbles) were so freaking good, very satisfying. Never had better mexican vegan food. The price was also actually very good.
Read moreCorn ribs are also good, nice cheese. What I cannot recommend was the banna blossom taco, kinda bland.

Good but not great - Edit
Appreciate the selection of vegan options. Flavours are good from the several options I tried. However, the meal wasn't very filling considering the price. Good for a quick snack.

Okay tacos and lots of options - Edit
Had the birria and Al pastor tacos and whilst they were good, I have had better ones in the UK (e.g. Club Mexicana)
Read moreI personally didn't love the cheese in the birria tacos but the sauce was lovely and they could have done a bit more with the pineapple on the Al pastor ones (e.g. roasted or grilled it and made it into a salsa).

Decent food - Edit
All vegan mexican street food! Pretty cool. Unfortunately the tacos were pretty simple and slightly dry. They weren't bad. They were just alright. The smashed potatoes are really the best. Of the tacos I had the southern fried pineapple was most interesting and my fav.

Go go go !!! - Edit
I love this place! They balance flavours immaculately, add specials frequently/new menu items so it’s always worth checking out what’s new, and they have a creative approach to tacos which let’s face it you do not get at other Taco/burrito joints in the city for vegans.
Read moreThe birria tacos changed my life, and the nachos to share are a must !?? Even my non-vegan friends/family are always pleased with this place. But seriously, I was gobsmacked after the birria tacos. Still thinking about them.
Read the descriptions carefully if you don’t like spice as some will be hotter than others, the only time I’ve not been ecstatic to eat one of these tacos is when I hadn’t realised how hot it would be and that was on me for not reading the description properly!
Pros: Creative flavours and delicious taste, Evolving/seasonal menu, Reasonable prices for quality

Wasn’t the best - Edit
The star was the smashed potatoes. We also shared 3 tacos which were cold, a bit tasteless and just lacking any sort of oomph. Don’t think i would go back there’s plenty other tastier and so much better options in Edinburgh.

Good, but not amazing - Edit
Decent street food. 2 out of 3 dishes good, 1 a bit flat and dry. Entire menu vegan and only one thing was gluten containing which was a positive. 3 stars as it was closer to “fair” than a “very good”

Sadly, not great - Edit
Loved seeing a 100% vegan place here but unfortunately it was very disappointing. We shared a trio of three different tacos which were unfortunately very dry. Didn’t enjoy the taste or textures too much either.

Really liked the nachos! Refried bean tostadas were also good, if underseasoned. And even better on the nachos.

Great Mexican food - Edit
This all vegan place is really nice. The food used to be fabulous and now is just good. It's pretty expensive and there's less options than there used to be but I'd still recommend it if you're in ESF

Tasty! - Edit
As a Texan (and vegan) who’s always craving Mexican food, I was so happy to find this little gem in the heart of Edinburgh! I had the refried bean tostadas, which hit the spot. Friendly staff and outdoor seating available, which was well appreciated on this rare warm and sunny afternoon. There are also other street food vendors in the same space, so plenty of choices to suit everyone.
