Serves meat, vegan options available. Has at least two clearly marked vegan meals such as vegan meatballs and a vegan white pizza. Has a few more dishes that could be vegan such as soup and salad.
In Bari it's not that easy to find a restaurant with vegan options.. especially if you're aimlessly walking through the old-city with your omnivore tourist friends ;-)
So we found this restaurant which sounded suitable for all - i had the vegan white pizza and the vegan meatballs.
I didn't make this bad experience like the previous reviewer... at least our service was friendly.
Yes the white pizza is pretty dry, but i still liked it with oil, salt and pepper.
Same for the vegan Meatballs which you can order with Napoli sauce to make them a little more wet :)
The meatballs are named "vegan" so i don't think that they are evil enough to put cheese in the dough... it didn't taste like cheese too.
all in all it's not a very creative menu and there are definitely better vegan spots in Bari, but it's not that bad - at least they have some options and still better than fries with ketchup or a plain salad ;)
Vegan pizza is just dry pizza base and vegetables - no sauce, it is meant to be a white pizza as stated on the menu but there is no substitute for cheese so it’s just plain
Vegan meatballs are arancini balls, very nice but not convinced they are vegan since they seemed to be like normal arancini and have cheese and the restaurant confirmed they had no vegan cheese
Service is awful, we left before touching our mains
