This is a regular dinner spot for us. It's a go to when we have friends/family with different food preferences. I get some solid vegan options, they get what they want. Everyone's happy.

Authentic dinner with an unexpected show - Edit
The food I ordered was authentic tasting, and of high-quality taste-wise. The lentil soup and Roasted Za’atr Cauliflower appetizer were especially enjoyable. Both the Falafel Wrap and “small” Tabbouleh Salad were substantial in size and very good.
Read moreABOUT THE VENUE
Half of this venue’s space is restaurant, and the other half is bar/lounge, as its name implies. 25% of the restaurant space is dedicated to the entertainment stage (belly dancing). There is typically a mixed crowd up until 9pm, after which it turns into more of a bar scene. The proximity of the bar/lounge side to the restaurant side tends to cause both sides to merge noise-wise from time to time.
ABOUT THE ENTERTAINMENT (BELLY DANCING)
The website lists the belly dancing schedule as 6:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. I did not check this beforehand, and so my dinner coincided with a show, which was fine, just unexpected. I suggest being mindful which table you sit at (if given a choice) as some tables are quite close to the stage. The performer danced for about 20 minutes on stage. For the last 5 minutes she danced around the venue. There was no pressure to tip, although I wish I had brought some cash with me to tip, especially since I took her picture (with permission). There is music overhead during the performance. It gets kind of loud especially when finger cymbals are used. There is occasional clapping after each song.
VEGAN MENU ITEMS
The website menu labels vegan items with a “V” (VG means vegetarian), whereas the restaurant menu does NOT have any labeling.
Roasted Za’atr Cauliflower (appetizer)
Falafel (appetizer)
Lentil soup
Tabbouleh Salad
Falafel Wrap
Hummus
Pita bread (Ansari’s new pita bread is vegan, but labeling is not updated yet)
Rice
Lemon Garlic Dip (Toum)
House made harissa sauce
Tahini
Pros: High quality authentic Mediterranean
Cons: Bar/lounge can interfere with the restaurant, Inconsistent vegan labeling

Meh - Edit
Visiting my parents means always slim pickings. Finding this place to allegedly appease everyone seemed wonderful. However, the food was not.
Read moreThe baba ghanoush was flavorless. The veggie stir was the same price as the meat options but didn't have any extra veggies added to replace the meat - just a lot of mushrooms, a couple squash and a few green beans. Perhaps other options there are better.

Good Food, Horrible Service - Edit
I was craving some Mediterranean cuisine and found this place. I called in my order but needed assistance with determining what was vegan-friendly. I wanted dolmas, but they make their dolmas with meat, for some reason, and do not offer a veggie dolmas option.
Read moreVEGETARIAN MEDITERRANEAN COMBO - $13.99 - The lady told me that I could get the Vegetarian Mediterranean Combo, which she allowed me to veganize by subbing extra falafel for the spinach pies (which are vegetarian, not vegan). She offered like 5 different hummus flavors: regular, spicy, pesto, jalapeño cilantro, and avocado. I got the jalapeño cilantro and ordered a side of the regular hummus for an extra $5.99.
The falafel were extraordinary! Crispy and flavorful with a hint of spice. The hummus was excellent as well. The baba ghanoush was different. I did not like it and would not order it again. I do feel like the hummus portions could've been a little more given the price.
All of the employees that I encountered at the front/carry-out area were the most unpleasant humans ever. The first lady didn't acknowledge me for the longest, and once she did, she seemed bothered and couldn't find my to go order. A guy came forward, gave me a dirty look and retreated to the back. Finally, a younger female came up, if the name on my receipt is any indication, she was Anastasiya. There was no greeting, no "hello," no smile, no eye contact, and no real acknowledgement... She seemed agitated that I was even there. There was no "thank you" after I paid or anything. So yeah...
