Frozen dessert shop. A frozen banana is put through a juicer which comes out like soft ice cream. Topped with fresh cut fruit, fruit purees made with agave as sweetener, peanut butter, nuts, chocolate and other choices. Gluten free, nut free, dairy free, lactose free options as well. The cups and spoons used are bio-degradable, and Annie's uses eco-friendly cleaning products. Reported closed to HappyCow.

Closed? - Edit

Went by today and there was a sign on the door. Unfortunately, it appears they are closing. The note said that they would try to open sometime after September 15, 2012 on the weekends, 12-5 - but I can't see how that would sustain a business - especially as Fall is approaching at the beach. Too bad. I wanted me some Annie Banannie!

Loved it! - Edit

What a yummy idea! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Annie's Banannies on a very hot day this week. It was refreshing, sweet, and very yummy. We will definitely go back on our next visit.

Amazed - Edit

I visited Annie's Bananies yesterday with my mother while on vacation, and we were both amazed at how the banana "ice cream" tasted just like real ice cream. I was also glad that the menu tells customers which flavors are vegan. Another great thing about this place is that their stuff is a very affordable price! Next time I come to Rehoboth, I am definitely going to come back! They also use fresh fruits!

I actually did come back today, but they were closed. I was surprised, since it an early Friday afternoon (around 12'ish, possibly a little after 1.)
However, I really didn't know when they would be open, since it was my second time coming and I didn't look on the door for a schedule.

Also, my personal favorite is the pina colada flavor :).

Overall, this is a great shop and is a must-stop for those who are either vegan and/or lactose intolerant. :)

Pros: price, taste, healthiness

Cons: possibly the hours they are open

Great Taste, Great Price - Edit

Just wanted to say that I love what Annie is trying to do, provide us with a natural, healthy substitute (if you want to avoid sugar and chocolate...I, of course, wanted it with chocolate, and she has that, too) for all the junk food at the beach. Everything I sampled tasted wonderful. Vegan and Gluten Free options are available as well. It's an amazingly tasty treat just as it is, frozen banana, pure and simple, put through a juicer! I can't believe it tastes so delicate and creamy. And the price averages around $4, so how can you beat it! Good going, Annie, Thanks!
