Bad experience in Anne & Max Oostenburg - Edit
After my great experience in the Eindhoven branch, I wanted to try the Anne & Max which is close to me in Amsterdam, in Oostenburgervoorstraat. We have ordered a vegan breakfast plate for 2. First of all tofu scramble came cold, when we asked about it, their response was this is tofu, so its served cold (!). Then the plate was missing several items like, spreads, yoghurt etc. Every time we asked, is this the full plate, they said yes this is it and since i remembered from previous experience, when i asked specifically, they brought another item. Finally the croissants looked very animal based, i asked several times if they were vegan and the answer was yes definitely. Then I realised they were not, since i started to feel the butter hurting my stomach. When i asked again, the waiter said i will discuss with kitchen, but at that moment i knew they were definitely not. I will never go there again!

A lot of vegetarian and vegan options when it comes to breakfast lunch drinks and desserts. I would definitely recommend the Chai latte as well as the apple pie! But even the savory food tastes amazing! ❤️

Waiting, waiting, waiting - Edit
We were here on a Sunday and although there were still free tables, we had to wait 1:30 hours until we finally got our order. After the first half hour we were informed that one vegan dish four of us ordered wasn’t available anymore. Than we switched to sandwiches (which were okay after all, but pricey). I mean I understand that we were with a bigger group and what not, but I just don’t get why we weren’t better kept up to date about our order, why weren’t even asked if we‘d like to order another coffee (or, just image, get one for free for the long waiting time). I’m sorry to say but all in all this wasn’t a very pleasant experience.

Great sandwich and hot chocolate - Edit
Many vegan options and really good hot chocolate, I recommend the serious hot chocolate, but they have multiple flavours. The club sandwich is difficult to eat, so don’t try it on a first date cause you won’t look good, other than that it was delicious.
