Even though this place is not completely vegan, more than half the dishes on the menu are or can be made vegan. At first glance the prices are high, but once the food arrives, you know why. The quality is incredible with very innovative dishes and as an earlier review indicates, Michelin-quality.

The restaurant is vegetarian, but all the meals are also available in vegan. The two main courses we ordered were beautifully served and tasted fantastic. It is definitely a higher class of cuisine and worth every cent. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

The food was very good and almost everything on the menu was vegan. It was nice to get a small appetiser before the main dish. The waitress was nice and recommended us another vegetarian/vegan restaurant in St Malo (La Carlingue).

Yes, you should eat here if you're in St Malo! It's a nice place, and an interesting 3-course menu. However... the food is good but not fabulous. France is still decades behind other countries (e.g. UK) in veggie cuisine, so this is the only place in St Malo to offer interesting vegetarian dining. The dishes are nicely-conceived and very well presented - but to be honest there were many flavours promised that didn't actually come through in the tasting (mushroom, turmeric, etc, should have been clear), so it was a little underwhelming. Interesting to sample though, and I recommend giving it a try, as the menu varies often.

Basically the only place for proper vegetarian/vegan food in town: good luck finding anything without ham on it anywhere else in St. Malo. Luckily, it also happens to be a good choice, not just the only choice. Friendly chef/owner who came into the dining room for a chat after the meal; she said she changes the menu every 7-10 days to keep things interesting.
Read moreWhen we were there, there was a choice of two starters, two mains and three desserts, all but one of those dishes were vegan. Tasty food overall, with some more unusual ingredients as well which makes it exciting. Service got very slow at some point, the restaurant was completely full and there was only one person serving. She tried the best she could and it's not her fault, but the restaurant should really have some extra staff when it's busy (though I'm aware that in general there are staff shortages everywhere).
The food wasn't perfect, it's quite pricey and then there was the slow service, but nevertheless I would heartily recommend this place. Friendly people, food made with love and it's just a delight to find somewhere in this meat-heavy town where vegetables are being put centre stage.

We found this place on Happy Cow and it was just a great experience. Vegan dishes are clearly marked (most of the dishes are vegan), wonderful presentation, great taste, very nice service and compared to what you get a very reasonable price. Even my friend who is omnivore was impressed. Absolutely a must visit when you are in town, but opening hours are quite limited (only for lunch and dinner for couple of hours) so better check and plan ahead.

We happened upon this place more or less by (web search) chance and were absolutely amazed by the food. The menu was small (at lunchtime)--three starters, two mains, three desserts, all but one starter and one dessert were vegan, the rest vegetarian. The prices were around 15€ per starter, 19€ per main, and 12€ per dessert, which, in hindsight, were beyond a bargain. We made the good choice to share several plates (too multi-faceted to summarize fairly) and everything was beyond outstanding. Every dish was complex, bringing out the best in French culinary tradition, with probably at least five or more separately prepared elements carefully and beautifully arranged together. The flavors were wonderfully balanced and fresh, with no seasoning excessive, amiss, or wasted. The portions were spot-on (if you want to stuff yourself with food this thoughtfully prepared, then you should reexamine your direction in life) and by the end of the meal we hadn't a tepid (let alone negative) thing to say about any of it. The courses were also accompanied by small tasting portions of wonderfully presented sweets that would have been worth ordering as desserts on their own. The coffee and tea were likewise lovely (and, had it been later in the day I would have been happy to try one of the local beers from Saint-Malo), but the care and skill with which the food was prepared was so impressive that everything else, however good, had to pale in comparison.
In addition to all of this the food is also organic and local, the establishment cares about limiting waste (i.e., cloth napkins and fresh hand towels), the space abounds in pleasant small details (you'll have to see those for yourself), and both the server and the chef (who came out just to say hello and see how we were getting on) were genuinely friendly and the entire experience was brilliant. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you are within 50km of Saint-Malo, find your way there. Bring a non-veg/vegan friend--post a photo of the look on their face to your preferred social media platforms.

The food looked fantastic and tasted great too. Almost everything was vegan. It's not the cheapest restaurant, but you get nice and tasty food. Staff spoke English very well. We could not bring our dog inside, but there were some tables outside where we could sit with our dog.
