Very good - Edit
I had a lentil burger and an americano coffee. Burger was a bit dry but very tasty and a big improvement after I added ketchup. Extensive vegan options. Recommended.

Not great for vegans - Edit
I tried 2 different options from set menu, 1 was good, but small - salad, lentils drinks. If you choose curried rice you better off eating somewhere for half price with more rice and veg.
Read moreMain meals from the menu were disaster, for the price it was very small and bland.
I believe it used to be good years ago with the original owner.
They have no idea about how to cook the things they have put on their menu.
Pros: Set menu, Vegan deserts
Cons: Expensive, small and bland

Love this place :) - Edit
Vegetarian Burritos are out of this world and I also tried Tortillas con verduras salteadas. Delicious. They have a range of vegan desserts too - banana cake with chocolate was my choice. Not at all expensive either

Cute place - Edit
Got the chickpea/soy meat wrap, nothing too special but very nicely seasoned and the portion was huge! There’s also a daily menu that serves different starters and mains that you can choose from and a meat dish. We usually waited for quite a bit before our food came but the wait was never unbearable. The mango juice is so amazing that I went back there a few times just for the juice.

Healthy daily menu with natural ingredients - Edit
They have a daily vegetarian lunch menu for 25 soles where you can choose from different starters, main plates and drinks. I had it with a maracuja drink, vegetable soup and lentils with sauteed vegetables. All dishes were freshly prepared and tasty. Some people might find it a bit bland, but I really liked that it was served without too much oils and seasonings added. Felt like a healthy meal and was exactly what I was looking for.

Disappointing - Edit
Restaurant now serves meat. Waiter said there were vegan dishes but then brought out things with dairy in them. Food was very bland and overall disappointing. Can get much better for cheaper in Máncora.

Solid meal, very average - Edit
We went here for dinner and were full and satisfied as we left. Would highly recommend the daily menu, as that is one of the cheaper and more filling options. The food was well-tasting but overall quite average.
Read moreMancora is generally more expensive than the rest of Peru, so this place is a great option for a budget friendlier meal.

Gluten Free options, too - Edit
2 days ago I had the amazing luck to find Angela's place. I was so excited that she had not only vegan, but gluten free entries , and i would probably say low gluten, to be more accurate as corn has some gluten, i think, but my arthritis is more concerned with not eating wheat. The portions were gigantic, i probably should have split the meal and taken some to my hotel room, but i had been on the bus for hours, so was really overly hungry. The 2 corn pancakes were divine, as well as huge. Much taste. I smeared them with the hummus, which was a bit bland, but not everyone loves spicey hummus, like i do. The salad was raw veggies like avacado , squash and carrot cut into very tiny cubes, not sure what that style is called , so nourishing. She also put 2 pieces of her camote, or sweet potato, bread on the plate, which are supposedly gluten free and vegan. All that came to 31 soles, yeah, that is pricey for PERU, but not considering the quality of the ingrediants, and the amount of food on the plate.

Went twice, completely mixed experience... - Edit
First-time we had the set combo, starters were nice but the main which was supposed to be "curry" was nothing more than dry brown slightly curried rice and a bit of veg. The type of veggie meal you'd expect from a meat restaurant with no imagination.
Read moreWe went back due to lack of options in Máncora and had the veggie burgers with fries. These were tasty and the portion sizes were huge.
The staff are friendly.
Giving it a 4* despite the poor initial experience because I think if you order the "right" thing it'll be good. However steer clear of the curry (aka dry rice and veg).

Very average. We ordered the Ratatouille sandwich and the vegetable sandwich. The sandwiches were very dry served on stale bread and plain with not the veggies we expected. There was no sides served with the sandwiches.

Not that good. - Edit
We ate a ratatouille sandwich and waited ages for it. People came after us for take away and they got their food bevor us, that was kinda annoying.
Read moreThe sandwich itself was nothing special, didn‘t taste of that much and the bread was obviously old. Therefore we paid too much.

Great pizza, whole grain bread etc. - Edit
My husband and I, both vegan, went to Angela’s desperate to have a tasty vegan meal. We were positively surprised. The prices are, compared to local prices, a little high but it’s worth it. I had a “green” pizza which is made of whole grain wheat with a tasty topping of creamy spinach, paprika, champignons and instead of cheese they put tomatoes. My husband had the vegetarian Gulasch which was actually vegan and it was also very tasty. Afterwards we had vegan pancakes and an apple strudel, which were really good. We also bought whole grain bread and banana bread for our breakfast the next day. The bread was the closest to German bread that I’ve tasted to far in Ecuador. The place was owned by a German women before, therefore the name “Angela” but is now owned by a Peruvian lady and run by two nice Peruvian women that kept up the concept and foods. 👍🏻

I had a veg burger (garbanzo) it was moist, great flavor, ripe dark red sliced tomatoes were yummy, came on a freshly made chabata bun. 18 soles. I didn’t notice any meat on the menu. I went back for a second burger.

Amazing salads - Edit
I went to Angela's place, thinking the restaurant looked a bit too casual and relaxed for there to be good food, but know what? I was pleasantly surprised.

Okay but overpriced - Edit
Went here a couple times during our stay in Mancora. The first time I had a dinner menu consisting of a falafel tzatziki and main was a spinach and cheese pastry with lentils. The second time I had a chickpea burger. The falafel starter was tiny and the pastry quitedry. The burger wad okay but for the price paid (around 25 soles, no side included) I was pretty disappointed. The service was also extremely slow even when no one else in the restaurant. We came to find Green Eggs & Ham had some great, reasonably priced veg-friendly brunch options and amazing beach view.

Good dinner - Edit
We have been twice here. Food was good for vegetarian food in Peru. The Tzaziki was very good and the lentil dishes, too. One day we also had a very good pizza. We just saw the burrito at some one elses plate and they looked good. The waiter was very nice and relaxed.

Not as good as expected - Edit
I was excited to eat here, but unfortunately the food was dry and not as tasty as I expected. After talking to a local, once Angela sold the restaurant, the quality went down. A big bummer, but still a place to get vegetarian food. Gordo Gorila a few places down the street was much better and at a better price.

Excellent, healthy menu - Edit
This place is vegetarian. The menu is very healthy - whole grain rice, sugar free options. I had the menu and chose falafel to start and then pesto pasta with a sugar free homemade lemonade for 22 soles. I thought it was very good, nice presentation and friendly staff.
