Authentic Indian in Jackson Heights - Edit
This small restaurant, just steps away from the 7 train, is an excellent choice for vegetarians and vegans. Be sure to mention that you want your dishes vegan though (and they do serve meat and other animal products.)
Read moreThis is a super casual spot but with a large menu with several veg/vegan options. The service is attentive and the staff very helpful with ensuring your dietary requests are fulfilled. My only disappointment: none of the desserts are vegan.

Super super delicious, lots of vegan options, and the waiter was very helpful walking me through what I could eat on the menu. He even came over and warned me when I was about to eat something with dairy.
