I ate here on my first night in Crete and they were very helpful and friendly. They understand what veganism is. Food was nice.

What a great place! - Edit
This is a very nice tavern with lots of vegan options. The owner is super nice and knows her stuff, so you can veganize lots of dishes which aren't vegan.

Veel vegan opties en de vriendelijke eigenaar denkt graag mee om een hoofdgerecht samen te stellen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten! Genoeg ruimte tussen de tafels zodat je niet direct geconfronteerd wordt met het dierenleed op het bord van de buurman.

Went to Anemi about four times during my stay in Malia! The food was SO delicious, and the owner Alex was very knowledgeable and helpful about vegan options, or which dishes could be adapted to be vegan.

Fresh fruits and a choice of raki, honey raki or ouzo was always offered after the meal.
If I could I would be back in Crete every week just to eat here!
Would recommend the lentil and Anemi salads, as well as the boiled vegetables which were delicious and tasted very fresh. The stand out was the fava along with pitta, I could not get enough!!!
