Mid-range pizza, better than most garlic knots - Edit
Everything vegan on the menu is clearly marked and they have a few vegan options to choose from. These are small personal size pizzas.
Read moreOverall it was decent. It scratched that itch I had for pizza. But it is nothing out of the ordinary. The cheese they use melts pretty well. 6/10
The vegan garlic knots however were very good!! They come topped with a vegan cheese sauce and vegan sausage crumbles and some marinara sauce for dipping - 8/10
Honestly, I would just get 3 orders of garlic knots and pass on the pizza.

Good place to start - Edit
If you are willing to try the vegan options this is a good place to start with staff that are equipped to understand the difference between vegetarian and vegan and all other dietary restrictions. It’s very inclusive it’s a wonderful place I do recommend it!

High quality, fast casual & very vegan friendly - Edit
Glad to see &pizza on Happy Cow because it's my favorite pizza in DC these days. They have 6 locations in DC, and a total of 14 in the area, including both Dulles and Reagan airports.
Read moreThe style is fast casual a la Chipotle or Subway where you select ingredients in a line in front of you. I thought this concept seemed a little boring and didn't try it for the longest time, but I was a fool, this pizza is great. The ingredients are all really good quality. The sauces are awesome- I love the Tomato Olive Pesto. Plus you get as many toppings on your pizza as you want without paying extra!
Almost every pizza place in DC does vegan cheese, but this place goes a bit beyond that. They actually seem to want to cater to vegan diners. There are vegan protein options (vegan beef crumbles and my favorite- spicy chickpeas), the ingredients are well-marked as vegan online and at most of the locations, and they'll swap out their gloves for new ones. The staff has always offered to do this for me when I ask for Daiya cheese, and the staff has been really helpful in general.

Best DC spot for fast vegan pizza - Edit
You pick your pizza dough, your sauce(s), your toppings and cheese before they out it into the conveyor belt oven. When it comes out the other side, you add additional toppings. All vegan items are marked: two out of three doughs are vegan; five out of seven sauces are vegan; they have Daiya mozzarella and vegan protein; their vegetable selection is generous (14 different types in total), as are their vegan sauces they dribble on top after the pizzas come out of the oven. If you tell them you want a vegan pizza, they even put on new gloves to handle your food. Plus the servings are HUGE. Definitely vegan friendly, and it's delicious!
Read more&pizza also has other DC locations -- check the website to find one in your area.
