Decent airport pizza - Edit
They seemed to know what was vegan. You had to kinda pick your own ingredients because they didn't have a vegan option on the menu. The crust was vegan, and they had vegan cheese.

Great for airport food! - Edit
Lady at the counter was very clear with showing the (somewhat limited) vegan options, got red sauce, vegan cheese, spinach and vegan chicken and it's pretty good! with a drink came to $18 dollars which isn't bad for airport prices at all, especially considering the size

Best airport food! - Edit
Airports are often a challenge when it comes to vegan food but I was pleasantly surprised by &pizza. They have a good amount of vegan toppings including sausage and cheese. I was amazed by the stretchiness of the cheese.
Read moreI did find that the pizza was a bit too heavy for me however and couldnt finish. Next time I would just ask for a lighter amount of cheese.
Pros: Stretchy vegan cheese, Several vegan toppings with good labels

Just what I needed - Edit
You can make your own pizza - they have vegan cheese and vegan chicken but not many vegetables. It’s not the best cheese but still great they have it. The base and sauce is good. Vegan chicken pretty good too

Nice pizza! - Edit
The menu just says they have vegan and GF available. The regular crust and GF crust are vegan. The regular pizza sauce is vegan. They have a vegan cheese and some vegetables. The oven broke and burned one of our pizzas so that was less great.

Good layover stop - Edit
These kinds of customizable pizza joints are basically the only way I enjoy pizza nowadays, since you can make them pretty "clean", and this one's no exception. Nothing really standout in comparison but the elongated shape was new to me, yet an enjoyable way to eat.
Read moreI topped mine with chickpeas and the vegan sausage for my protein, and vegan cheese, and lots of veggies. After it comes out the conveyor belt, you can add sauce and more fresh veggies.
It's conveniently right next to a bar so you can get your fill of that too; also electric outlets at every seat for charging your phone.
Pros: Quickly made pizza, Plenty vegan toppings, Plenty vegetable toppings
Cons: Gluten Free cost extra & not vegan (often case)

The food isn't all that great, and it's a but overpriced. But there don't seem to be many options in the DC airport, so if you are in need of a quick fix this is worth a stop.

My favorite chain, not the best location - Edit
I am a flight attendant and live for my DC trips just for &pizza.
Read moreThey have lots of vegan (cheese, meat, crust) and gluten free options and everything is always delish!
This location isn’t as great as the one in the B Gates but it gets the job done.
They are often out of vegan meat and cheese but it’s worth attempting if you don’t have time to head to B terminal.
Pros: Vegan Choices, Gluten free options
Cons: Hit or miss on toppings

Quick and easy - Edit
For pizza, this place is fast. Decent vegan cheese for pizza. Made my own as the off-the-menu pizza options are not targeted at vegans. Would be careful if you have allergies as there appears to be some reuse of gloves and utensils across toppings. Can’t complain too much, however, as I was in-line and walking back to my gate with pizza in less than 7 minutes. Won’t recommend to my Italian grandmother, but good enough in a pinch. (There are so very few options in this airport.)

Could have been much better - Edit
Half of the things they have on the menu aren't available so there goes some vegan options. And then my crust wasn't completely cooked so that was dissapointing. I will say, I did enjoy that they have both vegan cheese and vegan sausage available and that they had fresh toppings such as arugala and jalapeño. I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here again but it wasn't terrible considering price and that it was in the airport.

10/10 recommend taking a detour to the C28 gate area for this vegan pizza! Melty vegan cheese, vegan sausage and spicy chickpeas as topping options make for a fast, filling and satisfying meal. Ordering is a breeze, as the menu is clearly marked for vegan options (see my pic). Very good pizza! 👍🏼

Good tasting but out of Vegan options - Edit
I ate here for a late lunch and they were already out of the vegan toppings listed on their menu (cheese, meat alternative). Good tasting pizza otherwise.

Build-your-own vegan pie - Edit
This is a fast and filling option. The vegan cheese is a little weird but their conveyer baker does a great job of melting it to make a defensible pizza. Lots of good fresh veg toppings too (roasted peppers, shrooms, broccoli, etc)

I eat here when I'm not at the airport, I survive flights because they are at the airport! - Edit
&pizza makes amazing pizza, and it's very vegan friendly. You can get however many toppings you want, and they're all delicious.
Read moreUpdating my review because there are now two locations in the airport: a location by gate B72, and a location in between the C and D gates (between D1 & C28). If you're flying from an A or B gate, go to the location near B72 (Terminals A and B are one long hallway, essentially). If you're flying out of either C or D gates, get to the &pizza by taking the plane train to the C gates (if you go towards the D gates, this will take longer because you need to take a shuttle. So slow! But C and D are one long hallway that you can walk down).
The pizzas are quite large, which is great when you have a long flight ahead of you. It's great to have some leftovers. I survived a 10 hour flight with no complimentary meal service thanks to &pizza. (OK, United, I guess DC to Honolulu is a domestic flight, but it still feels wrong to not serve food...) The box however is a pain, so I try to have a zip lock or something else to store it in so I can toss the box before my flight.
And for the person who said this can't be an airport restaurant, you're correct! It's a local DC chain which has blessed us travelers with it's presence at Dulles. I love eating here when I'm not at the airport.

Great airport find! - Edit
Gotta love HappyCow for always having good options for me (even in an airport)! So glad we went to this place. All vegan options are clearly marked on the menu and they have a build-your-own pizza option (kind of like Chipotle for pizza). There isn’t a limit on toppings so you can load your pizza up with all the veggies you want (for no extra charge). They also have vegan cheese and vegan beef if that’s your thing. Totally a life-saver when stuck in an airport!
