Authentic local alley restaurant - Edit
We stopped here, and we're happy we did.
Read moreWe sat down at a small table in the alley on the littlest chairs ever, and the owner brought us 2 Pho without asking.
Still, the food was absolutely delicious. 😋
It's a very local experience at a local price. The soup was a mere 25k.
Highly recommended 👌
Note for foreigners: You will want to skip the toilets and find somewhere else for your business. After more than a year in southeast asia, it is by far the worst we've encountered. But don't let that keep you from coming here for the food.
Pros: Delicious local Pho, Super affordable , As local and authentic as it gets
Cons: Toilet is the stuff of nightmares 😱

Delicious and Satisfying Vegan Bun - Edit
I recently tried the vegan bun from An Khanh bun chay, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations! The texture is light and fluffy, with a subtle sweetness that pairs perfectly with any filling, whether sweet or savory. I love that it's soft on the inside while having a slight crispness on the outside, which adds a delightful contrast.

No menu, only one option, a 25k pho with fake meat. Tasty, nourishing, and frequented by locals only. Great option near the literature temple.

Serves just one type of pho, filled with veg, coriander and mock meat. Comes with fried breadsticks to dip, pickled chili and garlic, and chili sauce. 25k for a serving, one of the best dishes i’ve ever had. In a cute little alleyway, probably won’t be suitable for those with mobility issues as the seats are the classic tiny little stools. Worth going out of your way to try.

Fast service. Same broth for all types of noodles (phở, bún, miến rice vimercille, instant noodles). Have veg snack like bánh giò (rice cake with fillings) cơm cháy (cripy rice crackers). Convenient for a nice quick cheap meal, and near Văn Miếu tourist famous attraction

True budget Gem - Edit
Flavourful Pho which was packed with three different kinds of soya based mock meats and and different mushrooms (oyster, king oyster and shiitake). The Portion was more than generous and it was only 25K.
