No longer a good vegan option for the price

We made a reservation based on the restaurant website listing a vegan menu and several options. When we arrived we were told they have no vegan menu and they only do a vegan month (possibly March? The staff were not sure). They still had some options on the regular menu, but fewer than their online menu. They have no vegan bread, so if you want any spreads the only dipping option is vegetables.

There were two vegan entrees available, and one could only be made vegan by removing the protein entirely. It’s was good, but the price on the menu was different from the price we got on the bill. The wait staff was happy to fix it but it still seems like they shouldn’t have such a confused menu and staff.

Also, we had a reservation on the books for more than a week but needed to move it earlier the day of. We tried to call but we’re informed reservations could only be changed on the app. We did so, but when we arrived they seated us at a side table in a corridor next to the kitchen and crowded against a family with kids—not in the dining room where we had reserved or even in the l uncrowded bar area. They didn’t realize that we had changed a previous reservation and the hostess told us that she could not move us. It’s a nice enough g restaurant that the should have someone that can answer the phone. However, when we mentioned it the waiter they moved us to the dining room with no problem, which was never full.

It’s a beautiful restaurant with good food and friendly wait staff, but if you’re vegan I would go elsewhere. I would ask that the restaurant update its website menus, better manage its front of house, and ensure its pricing is correct.

Pros: Dining room atmosphere , Friendly wait staff, Quality food

Cons: False advertising of vegan menu on website, Disorganized front of house, Limited vegan options

Incredible dinner!

We had an excellent dining experience. The staff was so knowledgeable and attentive. There are many options on the menu, which is well-labeled, and many options can be made vegan. Unfortunately, the pita bread is not vegan-friendly, which was so disappointing. But overall a fantastic dinner for special events. You will likely need a reservation!

Pros: Great ambiance, Very clear menu, Excellent service

Cons: Special-occasion kind of place 😬

Amazing plant-based options in a sumptuous venue

I’ve eaten at Ammora a couple of times now, and the experience does not fail to disappoint. This is really a special occasion type venue, the owners spared no expense in bringing in furnishings from all over the world. The staff is very knowledgeable about plant-based options and will point you in the direction of some amazing dishes that you have never even heard of. I have tended to stick with ordering a lot of mezze, because the cauliflower entrée is quite expensive and although it is good, I can’t justify the cost.

Pros: Amazing interiors
