Big disappointment - Edit
Tatty furniture, and of all the wines on the menu carried only 2 of the more expensive wines.
Read moreThe wine we got was warm. When we asked for ice we were told the restaurant was vegetarian and did not serve ice. We have been vegetarian for 15 years, and vegan for 6 and have never come across such a thing. Our main meal came with a "Salad' - which was chopped lettuce and a dusting of grated carrot! Not even a dressing.! The owner was hostile to our requests, and the young waiter bewildered. Tacky TackyTacky. Avoid
Should not have any stars at all!
Pros: Nothing, Nothing
Cons: The food poor, The management unhelpful and furniture worn out., The service

slightly chaotic inside but had a very friendly waitress. food was okay but nothing insanely special, just a nice difference from the amount of marinara pizza and pasta you sometimes have to order when in italy.

Great food but waited too long - Edit
Risotto was very nice! But they forgot my order two times and I was waiting too long for everything. But the staff is nice and kind so they made sure I was happy at the end!

Good - Edit
But it took a lot of time to our order to be ready. 3 or 4 couples arrived after us and got their food before us. But the food was good - but I wasn't in the mood anymore to eat that cuz of the delay - and the staff is nice. The beverages options weren't good at all.

Friendly, tasty and welcoming - Edit
We found this place by chance and has only just eaten lunch. Tempted in by the offer of a vegan chocolate soufflé, we went in. They didn’t have the soufflé, but we had a jam tart, tea and a really good coffee. The food around us looked incredible and the servers were really friendly and helpful.

Very bland food - Edit
The place itself is very lovely, a little bit hidden, away from the bustling streets. The atmosphere of the place itself is relaxed and very nice. We were really looking forward eating here.
Read moreSadly, all the food that we got was rather bland. The bean salad consisted of hard beans only. The risotto was almost nothing more than cooked plain rice. Watery without any flavour whatsoever. Pasta was okay.
The grumpy waitress forgot one of our ordered items, but after tasting our food, we didn't want it anymore anyway.
This could be an amazing restaurant and I still hope we were just unlucky that particular day.
Pros: Nice location & ambience
Cons: Bland food, Grumpy staff

Decent - Edit
I am a little bit disappointed about this place. We went for dinner and they have a nice location and ambience outside because you sit away from the noisy streets. But the kitchen was only mediocre. Mainly because the dishes lacked flavors and were too basic.

Really Strange - Edit
Had the bean salad which was really weird, the bean itself was REALLY hard......the salad was sad with quite a bit of brown/ end bits.
Read moreThe tempura was ok, carrots were undercooked, the best squidgy ones are the courgettes and potatoes.
The Seitan salad came out with a small layer of seitan which tasted lovely, but then the rest of it was a deep glass bowl filled with salad.....it was 90% salad, we were hoping for a more balanced salad, 50-50 ratio of salad to protein.
The lemon seitan was interesting, it came with a small side salad which was not enough to drown out the sickly tart lemon sauce - again, the flavour and ration of everything was very unbalanced.
The seitan in both dishes are of lovely soft texture, which was nice.
Highlight was the side bread with olive oil and the delicious chocolate soufflé which was warm and gooey - it is more like a chocolate fondant/ lava cake - highly recommend.
The restaurant inside is really bright and the lighting outside pierces your eyes if you sit across from it, hard to ignore if you are light sensitive - overall though, the place is pretty.

Unfortunately everything needs improving. - Edit
This is my first ever 2 star rating and i really wish i could have given it more but it was the worst experience we have had in Italy and we have been here for 4 weeks across multiple cities.
Read moreThe service was really poor. With a grumpy waitress and long wait times for ordering. I was shocked at how bad it was people were leaving before their order was taken due to the wait.
Starters - the starters worried me for what was to come bruchetta was the worst I have tried in Italy. And the chick peas were so bland imagine a full bowl of chickpeas with almost no seasoning on them.
Mains - the main I ordered was ginger tofu. It was 4 thin slices of tofu with some grated ginger on it and a very basic salad. I am not a good cook but it was worse than all of my home cooking. My wife got a vegetable risotto which was OK just lacked any flavour again I feel like I could make a better risotto at home.
Pudding - the pudding was OK. Tasted like a good school dinner pudding.
The wine was tasteless and they kept spraying a table cleaning solution that was so strong it impacted the flavour of our wine.
It was such a shame because the location was nice and the owner seemed lovely but it just wasn't very good compared to other places we have eaten in Italy.

Lovely atmosphere, many options - Edit
I thoroughly enjoyed the bruschetta, pasta and chocolate souffle I had. The atmosphere is very warm and their homemade (I think) Bio Spritz/ Aperol spritz was great. Their menu changes daily (currently), so I'm definitely coming back to try more.

Una bellissima scoperta nel cuore di Napoli! - Edit

Nice and Quiet Place - Edit
This place, given the fact that it is not directly on the main road, is very quiet and chaos-free, despite the location in the center of the city. The food is good and some courses are particularly interesting, with the prices still average

Lovely and quiet place - Edit
I was really looking forward to eating here, as I read so many wonderful reviews. Maybe it was just what I ordered: the large plate with a little bit of everything - potatoes, carrots, courgette, aubergine, bean salad and mushroom risotto. The courgette and aubergines were way too oily and rather tasteless. The bean salad and risotto were ok. As for the staff, everyone was very kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere in the outdoor seating area was great.

Great atmosphere and seitan stew - Edit
One of the few places with vegan food in Napoli that is open until late. Very nice atmosphere, good wine, the seitan section is really recommended, but don’t order tofu dishes, it’s quite mediocre. The brownie I’ve ordered was way to sweet. But the meny is quite big and slightly changes every day so if you are in Napoli this place ls definetely a must!

Unbelievably good “high end” quality food and so cheap for what you get! - Edit
Portions are very generous, we tried the seitan with onions and seitan with tomato-both absolutely incredible.. the portion was big and 70/80% seitan which is just unheard of. They really don’t skimp on the meaty stuff at all you’ll be so full and get heaps of protein in. Only €10 for the seitan dishes, very affordable and cheap considering the portions and the high quality flavours. Try the deep friend chickpeas, much nicer than what you’d expect, seriously tasty stuff! Nice romantic setting tucked away under an arch and little alley way that leads only to the restaurant where there’s lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Food doesn’t get better than this. You’ll be blown away!

Good value - Edit
This place was a bit difficult to find down a small side street and through a gate, but I glad we did. The vegan risotto with pumpkin and mushrooms for 5 Euro was a generous and tatty portion. I’d also recommend the minestrone soup which was hearty and filling.

Awful experience - Edit
I wanted to enjoy a lovely vegan meal in Naples so I went all the way to the „sorriso integrale“.
Read moreI arrived before 3.00 pm, the webpage and fb stated the restaurant to be open until 4.00 pm.
When I came in and asked for a table one of the waiters told me I was too late and there was no food left. That was Not true!
I was sooo hungry that I begged him to offer me s.th.
Funny enough the other waiter, who was much more polite was able to offer me everything on the menu!
Anyhow I have never felt so unwanted in a restaurant before.
I had a vegan plate which was absolutely tasteless. I will never go there again.
I‘ve been there years ago which was a completly different experience.

Good Value & Very Tasty - Edit
I had the vegan risotto which was pretty tasty! I also had the spicy black olives which I did not find spicy, but very good none the less! I didn’t realize until I went inside to use the credit machine that there was a small little natural foods section of the restaurant where you could buy what looked like many of the products they use themselves in the restaurant. The bill was very inexpensive, even though we ordered quite a bit of food. Would definitely recommend sitting on the patio as it is beautiful and quiet at night despite its location. I wish I had tried the vegan chocolate cake as it looked incredible when I saw it at another table.

So wonderful - Saved my day - Edit
First: I was happy that someone suggested looking at the photo of the gate, I wouldn’t have found it otherwise!
Read moreI just spent one day in Naples while traveling through Italy and I hated it so much, I have no words. It was a very unpleasant day and not being able to find anything decent to eat wasn’t helping. All the vegan-/friendly places on happycow were either closed without notice or didn’t have any vegan options.
After searching for two hours I was about to give up but tried Amico Bio as the last place because it wasn’t too far to walk and - it was so amazing! The first clean, quiet, beautiful and nicely smelling place I’d seen all day with lovely staff that were very professional, caring and just perfect. There’s so much to choose from on the menu but the waiter recommended the Seitan scallops with lemon so I had those and they were very delicious. Finished the meal with the chocolate soufflé - pure heaven. This place really saved the day for me and is the only pleasant memory I‘m taking from Naples. Go there, please do, you won’t regret it.
Pros: So much to choose from, Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, Amazing staff
Cons: It’s in Naples
