A gourmet grocery store with vegan staples including Vegenaise, yogurt, cheeses, almond milk, gourmet olives, condiments and pastas. Located in the heart of the city among the shops. Open Mon-Sat 7:00am-8:00pm, Sun 8:00am-8:00pm.
Very thankful for this place! They had lots of vegan grocery items. Most coffee shops on the island use almond milk and we were able to get soy milk here.
Giving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because this place is a lifesaver, as they had my Oatly oat milk! They also had loads of vegan options and other gourmet ingredients. The prices are absurd, but there is no other choice on the island for some of these vegan items. For example, a hummus I pay £1.80 (~2.15€) for in the UK was 16.95€. I didn’t pay attention to the individual prices of everything (mostly because most things weren’t even marked with prices), but I walked out with 143€ worth of groceries in a small little bag. 🤷♀️
I’ll head back again for my vegan staples.
(They have vegan cheese, butter, milk, vegenaise, yogurt, etc.)
Had a good selection of standard vegan items including cheeses (violife and a couple of other brands), yoghurts (oatly) and milks. Nutritional yeast was 29€ for a 500g packet. They also had a good selection of nuts and seeds. Some vegans chocolate and sweets. All in all a good shop but almost prohibitively expensive. The prices are on the bottom of most of the items.
It was pretty wonderful to stumble onto American Gourmet in St Barts. They had tofurkey, vegenaise, almond milk, the best vegan cheeses and a lot of great jars of gourmet items to add to a salad. They seem to have great guidance on the most popular things a vegan wishes they had while on the island.
