I fly a lot and have been in airline lounges around the globe. I was overly impressed with this American lounge, as there were loads of clearly labeled vegan options. I particularly loved the vegan sweet corn pudding, which I never have had in my life. There were even vegan candy bars by Unreal offered in the lounge. If this lounge is not included as part of your ticket/status, you may want consider paying for it if you want the lounge experience and be guaranteed decent vegan options. See photo of the breakfast menu for an idea of what’s typically offered.
As a fellow frequent traveler, often in US, this is great to hear. A real change for AA lounges, hopefully this is system wide. Will be in DFW mid July can report!
Do they also have a flagship lounge there? I usually fly Star Alliance, so am not as familiar with the One World lounges in the US anymore. Usually AA lounges have been OK. BA from OW is 100x better than AA (I usually fly BA in Europe). All the Asian airlines usually are a huge win for me, particularly taste and quality, as they always make vegan options for me. Looking forward to hearing about the lounge you mentioned in DFW. :)
They do have a Flagship lounge in DFW, terminal D. Admiral Clubs in most terminals, though they are not so exciting! Will update when there in July, if it matches MIA! Totally agree on BA being superior in general than AA, as well as greater accommodation on most the mainline Asian airlines Emirates is good too, particularly their lounge in Dubai.
