Buffet not vegan friendly but separate menu which can be pre-ordered from

Buffet has lots of eat and dairy options and the food labelling isn't great so it's hard to tell with confidence what's vegan at a glance. Some of the staff are very vegan aware and happy to talk through what can and can't be eaten, others less so and whether you could eat from the buffet really was a bit of a lottery based on who was scheduled to work for that meal.

The restaurant has a separate vegan menu with roughly 5 starters, 12 mains and 5 desserts which can be pre-ordered from one meal in advance - I.e. Order what you want for lunch while at breakfast, order what you want for dinner at lunch etc. Food on that menu was good but we were there for 2 weeks so I did have to rotate through a few of the options more than once, especially for lunch.

Overall - Don't really get to take advantage of the buffet but there is good vegan food here and you definitely won't starve, hope this review helps someone planning their trip to The Maldives.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Good food, Some vegan aware staff

Cons: Poor food labelling at the buffet, Lots of meat and dairy option in the buffet, Some staff with no vegan awareness
