Terrible Customer Service - Edit
I have been buying vitamins from this store for a quite a few years now and typically spend a few hundred dollars. I almost always buy them on the first Wednesday of the month as they offer 20% off and their vitamins are expensive. Often when I am not able to make it into the store that day, I will call and ask my order to be put on hold and come pick it up the next day, in the past they have sometimes asked me for payment and sometimes not but they still give me the 20% off. I had placed a phone order on July 2, stating I could not pick up that day and the staff did not ask me for payment. I went the next day to pick up my order and they would not give me the 20% off because THEIR staff did not ask me for payment. I explained the situation and said it's not my job to tell them to ask me for payment but they still would not provide the discount. I said this not very good customer service and the staff member giggled at me. I filled in a customer support feedback form asking to be contacted and ended up having to call the store myself, I was told they had read my message (they did not call me to discuss as directed) and the staff had done me a courtesy by answering the phone and taking my order? They still refused to give me the discount and I clearly asked are you willing to lose a long time customer over this and she said well that's our policy. Obviously they do not care about customer retention as this was an easily rectified situation.

Amaranth southland store problems - Edit
Hey for the most part the Southland location is ok The staff are great
Read morebut the manager or boss with grey white beard is rude an a jerk
He was nice at first when you buy stuff there but the few times I came an didn’t buy but asked if they had stuff got bugged an started kicking out for no reason or even bothered to Explain why even tho I never took anything or caused probs
Only saying you have to go (as in leave)
An explanation or apology would be good but aside from that
Couldn’t even listen to reason or give second chance
Boycott this place An like who’s line the points just don’t matter

Amazing natural foods store! - Edit
First thing I want to say about this place is that it has a wider variety of products than other health food stores in the city. (This is likely because they don't have produce or deli/ready-made sections, so they have greater shelf-stable and fridge selections.) If a new product is coming out, and you're not sure where to find it, check here first.
Read moreSecond thing, the price point here is way cheaper than most other health food stores (there were a couple of supplements that are cheaper at Community so you might need to price compare for specific products).
Lastly, there's a tremendous variety of vegan (and gluten-free) products, and staff are always around if you have questions.
Misc. items:
First Wednesday: 20% off supplement and body care
Third Wednesday: 12% off everything in-store
Every Tuesday is Seniors Day: 10% off most items
Pros: Wide variety , Friendly staff, Monthly discounts
Cons: Close early on weekends
