The food was quite nice, especially the pide, even though I would have liked more kebab pieces.

Their vegan Döner 'meat' is self-made and super good! Definitely different form the usual seitan Döner. Their own bread is also super delicious and together, it makes for an amazing vegan Döner. Definitely recommend trying it.

They have a separate vegan menu which is nice. They even have a separate vegan pizza cutter. They were out of the vegan doner twice but had it on the third day.

Unfortunately, I only found it ok.
I was disappointed by the vegan kebab meat. It was just boiled and seared soy meat (textured soy). Not my cup of tea. I didn't like the lahmacun as well. Börek and vegan pide, on the other hand, were good!
But as we all know, taste is individual.
It's great that AMARA has a large selection of vegan dishes.

Die guten Reviews bei happycow haben mich aufmerksam auf AMARA gemacht, sodass ich dort bestellt habe.
Leider fand ich es nur ok.
Enttäuscht war ich vom veganen Dönerfleisch. Das war einfach nur gekochtes und angebratenes Sojafleisch (Texturiertes Soja). Nicht mein Ding.
Lahmacun hat mir auch nicht geschmeckt.
Börek und Vegan Pide hingegen fand ich gut!
Geschmack ist aber ja bekanntlich individuell.
Super, dass es bei AMARA eine große Auswahl an veganen Speisen gibt.

Nice vegan kebap option like lahmacun, börek and döner. 3 vegan sauce options. Also, they‘ve got red cabbage in their kebap which immediately gets bonus points from me. It‘s also really well situated in the city, easy to reach and the guys are friendly.

Amara is the go-to vegan fast food place in Freiburg. You can have pizza, kebap or a mixed plate. The food is alright, but the mock meat and cheese could have been picked better. On the upside, the food is affordable and prepared really quickly!
