Not any port in a storm

Vegan options are quite limited in Kenya, so I was delighted to see one just a 10 minute drive from my Airbnb. Our party ordered a variety of dishes shortly after 5pm. The starters arrived at 6pm and the mains didn't make an appearance until almost 7pm.

We had bruschetta that was very unremarkable, pizza crust (no cheese options)that was inedible, beans that were uncuttable and our one pescatarian was clear that the fish was frozen... 5 minutes from the Indian Ocean.
Not a port I will be docking at again.

Cons: Very slow service., Food was mediocre to poor.

Delicious dinner

This restaurant was down the road from our Airbnb. We decided to try it one evening as there appeared to be several vegan options on the menu. I had emailed in advance to be sure and was told they could definitely prepare many vegan dishes. Once there the waitress happily explained all the vegan options on the menu plus others that could be made vegan. She also let me know they would be happy to prepare anything so long as the chef had the ingredients. I chose the gazpacho and risotto. The manager I had emailed even came by during our meal to ensure I was ok. The food was delicious, the portions were large and the price was very reasonable. The service was very good. The garden setting was very pretty.
