Shop of “Mexican gaspachos”, smoothie bowls, smoothies, juices and plant based milks for coffees. Reported to be vegetarian and vegan only. Open Mon-Sun 7:30am-8:00pm.
We had the veggies panini and chilaquiles with no cream no cheese, and the cacao protein smoothie. The sandwich was a little underwhelming, the rest was great. They forgot to order the extra tofu for the chilaquiles, they fixed it after it arrived to the table. But also forgot to order a dip that we decided not to have at the end. Everything took to long to get to the table, including the drinks. Probably an extra person in the staff could’ve solve the problems.
The coffee was really good and the house is quite beautiful.
Unfortunately, the açaí bowl was way too runny and really lacking flavour - like they just blended ice with a bit of powder or pulp instead of frozen bananas etc. Toppings were nice though with fresh fruits and granola.
My friend and I went to Amamba while visiting Mexico City. We both ordered their acai smoothie bowl and lattes. You get to choose 3 fruits and 3 other toppings to go on top. This was one of our favorite smoothie bowls that we’ve had in recent memory. We’re trying to decide if we want to go back for seconds tomorrow morning!
