Great Korean vegan food - Edit
We had a great experience at alt.a in Seoul! We tried the mandu, black bean truffle noodles, and soybean paste noodles—everything was delicious. The noodles were perfectly chewy with great texture, and each dish was well-balanced and flavorful.
Read moreService was fast and efficient—our food came out quickly and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. The overall vibe of the place is modern yet comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual but high-quality meal.
One tip: they stop taking orders at 9 PM, so it’s best to arrive at least an hour before closing to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for creative noodle dishes and excellent service in Seoul!

I was a fan of their Dosan branch. Great food and delicious. Now I visited the itaewon brand and it was a disaster.

It was not good, not eatable in fact. It has nothing to do with kung pao, had a weird yellow colour and all I could taste was oil and bad garlic (either burnt or old) and a lot of it. I don’t know if they don’t taste it or they fired their cook?
Maybe go with other dishes but this experience was so bad I won’t return

The veef wasn’t good either. It tasted like those granulated soy you soak in water.
Service was very friendly though! I feel bad leaving such a bad review but genuinely hope the other dishes are good and that they improve their food. Interior design is nice too and they have a terrace.

We were so underwhelmed with my friend after coming here. Reading all the great reviews, we were expecting quality dish. But it ended up being tasteless with a very weird texture (I had the “veel” and my friend another sort of fake meat). After 10 days of amazing vegan food in Seoul, that was a major letdown. And I’m not talking about the cost (so much more expensive than the other options in town).

Nice Atmosphere & Lovely staff, but not My Taste - Edit
I had high expectations for this restaurant, since they have a Michelin mention and I read many good reviews. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the food. The fried sweet and sour soy pieces mostly just tasted like oil and were quite greasy. The only real flavor came from the sauce. I didn’t like the other dishes much either.

Amazing unique flavors and variety - Edit
This place was high on my must try list and didn’t disappoint! The kitchen emits lovely Chinese spice scents in its enticing aroma! You can see in the kitchen and it gives off the vibe similar to Taiwanese eateries.

We had the hot and sour VEEF, mushroom soup, fried eggplant and fried dumplings. The VEEF was super light and cooked with plenty of yummy herbs and spices. You can taste the flame in this dish. The eggplant was soft and succulent. The mushroom soup was clean and soothing and the dumplings were crispy and satisfying. I think the VEEF really came to live with dunked in the eggplant sauce.
E testing was very yummy and the restaurant is very pleasant and in a cool neighborhood.
Definition don’t skip this place if you’re in Itawaon !

Literally the best meal I've had in my life - Edit
I'm not joking when I say this was the best meal I've had so far- ever! I really can't remember another time where I didn't want the meal to end as much as this one. I ordered the sweet and sour veef and we had a smaller rice portion and some bao rolls. The veef had an incredible texture and the sauce was ridiculously good. There was a bed of puffy rice under the chicken and sauce which soaked up the flavour over the course of the meal.

I wish I had something more elequent to say but I'm so contently full of amazing food that all I can manage is "One of the best meals of my entire life!"

The staff are friendly, the food came out incredibly quick, and we couldn't not pick a favourite dish as every single bite was as good as the last. This place needs at least one Michelin star if not 2. As soon as we finished our meal we booked for the very next service night they had following the holiday.

Food was very good. Traditional Chinese style. Lots of fried things in oil though. But still it was good. I wish the dishes had come with rice or something though. I only got two things so I can’t fairly judge. Fried dumplings and enoki fried mushrooms. Very good.

A wonderful restaurant with fantastic food! The staff are so nice and eager to help you order! The food comes out very quickly and is packed full of flavour! They also have a great drinks menu with vegan wines, beers and cocktails as well as non alcoholic versions. It also seems to have a Michelin star without the prices attached to a typical Michelin starred restaurant.

I’ve been there twice. Food is really tasty but for 20 000 won meals you always have to buy rice extra(??) yeah it’s only 2 000 won, but mini dishes have rice included. Honestly a bit disappointing. However mapo tofu is really good, highly recommend (don’t forget to order rice for it 😕). Donuts were fine, but if you want to try best donuts in Seoul check out my other reviews (spoiler: it’s Veganature)

Read moreI’m obsessed with black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon), but they almost always contain pork at non-vegan restaurants—so I had to get it! They lost my reservation and we were a little rushed since a private party was coming in 40 minutes, but I’m so glad we got to try it!
