I'm so glad we visited Alma Veg today while on holidays! The food was amazing. We had starters, mains, and deserts - all delicious! I had never tried moqueca before, which was the special today. So tasty!! Same goes for the pastel de "bacalhau", the avocado fritos, the "frango" com alma. We both tried a little bit of everything we ordered😄The deserts were delicious too - the carrot brownie was excellent, as was the banana flambé.

Che si tratti delle proposte fisse del menù o dei piatti del giorno, tutto è divinamente buono oltre che ben presentato. Le rivisitazioni vegetali dei cibi tipici portoghesi, salati e dolci, sono impeccabili. E che dire dello staff: adorabile! Since they transitioned the restaurant to full vegan (the owners are vegan), they are entering Lisbon's top group of the best vegan restaurants.

We had an awesome evening at Alma Veg! The food was truly incredible. Beautiful flavours served up in colourful and original dishes, full of goodness but tasting of decadence! We had superb polenta chips with an zingy homemade chilli mayo followed by tomato mince stuffed roasted aubergine with an epic homemade sweetcorn cream and homemade fish sticks with sesame and wasabi rice, Russian salad and fries… so good! Delicious homemade carrot cake and an intense chocolate pot for our pudding washed down with beautiful orange, mango, beet and ginger fresh handcrafted juices made the perfect end to a perfect meal. The guys who run the place are super friendly, the perfect hosts and the ethos behind the restaurant was clearly putting animal welfare and kind eating at its core and their food is the ultimate showcase of how incredible well cooked vegan food can taste.
