Lots of vegan options! - Edit

Most if not all of the menu was vegan and everything exceeded expectations! I got vegetable sticks with hummus to start and my friend got the purple potato dish which was incredible! For mains my friends got the pumpkin and tomato soups and I got a vegetable curry - all of which were delicious!

Delicious vegan plates - Edit

We spent two nights in Olantaytambo and the first night we were already looking for a vegan restaurant. When we found alma amor vegetarian we didn't enter because we felt the place to be very cold due to the lightning. However, the second night we decided to enter and found delicious vegan food cooked freshly on the spot right in front of us! It has been a very positive surprise and we highly recommend walking the 20 meters further away from the square to enjoy a big variety of different and delicious vegan plates and desserts!!

Pros: The food

Awesome food - Edit

We've tried carrot&pumpkin with ginger soup which was absolutely amazing. I took falafel for main dish - so so tasty!! Apple&goat pudding for dessert - great choice.
Fully recommended as a reliable vegetarian restaurant.

Pros: Taste, Friendly staff, Easy to get

Cons: Relatively expensive for such a small town

Great! - Edit

We were excited to stumble on a sign for vegetarian food in town and followed it here.

The owner/chef is very knowledgeable on veganism, has a creative approach to offering good food that's also unique / not just a copy, and she's really friendly.

We enjoyed the food we had & would've gone back a 2nd time, but they were closed the next day, and we left the following morning.

Definitely would eat here again.

Pros: Friendly, No meat

Absoluely delicious! - Edit

First of all, this was one of the most expensive places we ate at during our 3 weeks in Peru (main dish 20-28 soles, starter around 15) BUT it was totally worth it! You immediately taste that this is really haute cuisine. We had 2 different starters and 2 different mains plus fresh fruit juice. We absolutely loved the quinoa salad (delicious dressing) and the lentil balls - see photos. Unfortunately we were two full afterwards to try one of the deserts (such as vegan ice cream) which also sounded very promising. Both the Peruvian staff and the British owner were very friendly and also gave us some tips for our stay in Ollantaytambo. A must-stop on your way from Cuzco to Machu Picchu! [In order to locate it, walk down from Lari Street to the central square - when you arrive on the main road, turn left (towards Cuzco) and you will immediately see it on your left.)
