Perfect little cafe & shop in one - Edit
We needed somewhere to drop on during our holiday, and this app led us here. Perfect little cafe/shop. Good range on menu (no burgers), we had the curry, milkshake, English breakfast plus Bakewell tart. Also bought a few bits from the shop: yogi tea, fizzy drinks, crisps etc. Everyone who dropped by the shop was really friendly and chatted to us as was Allison. Parking was free, car park belongs to row of shops which are centred in housing estate/community. Would stop by again.

Great little cafe - Edit
I had peppermint tea, pannini & pancakes. All were freshly made, and delicious. Even though only 1 staff member working, (due to scheduled & unscheduled leave), we got excellent customer service, with a smile; speedy delivery; and the mini shop gave us options we can't buy at home!

There's always a friendly welcome at Allison's. The menu is good value for money and the weekly specials are imaginative and delicious. An added bonus is the small shopping area for vegan staples and treats. Allison is also very supportive of the local community.

Too many nice things to say for one review! - Edit
Let's cut to the chase....don't wonder whether you should try it or not, just do. Go to Allison's because trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Read moreI'll start with staff; Allison comes across as a genuinely nice, kind person who cares about her community and her customers. She's massively accommodating and really goes out if her way to ensure customers are happy. Additionally I haven't yet come across any if her staff who aren't also warm and friendly.
Allison's has a lovely array of hot and cold drinks to choose from but it's really the food that's the major player here. Everything from the sausage rolls to the full meals is faultless. I genuinely couldn't find anything for her to improve on. I think the last couple of times I've been I have had the curry which is fantastic but as a family we've worked our way through the menu and the 'pulled pork' type burger was a huge hit too. Cakes are ridiculously good and with a selection of at least six choices available, there's something for everyone.
Allison's are also able to cater for functions and provide afternoon tea for collection. We've made use of both services with afternoon tea for an occasional treat and catering for special occasions. Most recently we hosted a small gathering for my Grandfather's birthday with over half our guests not Vegan. Allison's supplied sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes and other bits which were devoured with much gusto and not one person even realised it was Vegan!
A small shopping area is also included in Allison's with refills for things like washing up liquid and shampoo. Lots of other products both food and household related so a great place to go to stock up on Vegan bits.
Fantastic place, we are lucky to have.
Pros: Lots of Vegan options, Reasonable prices, Great food

A great little cafe. Allison is friendly and the food is delicious. - Edit
Allison is is friendly, the food is great. Me and my girlfriend went to this eatery with our dog and sat outside on a very nice sunny day. I had the “fish” and chips which was delicious and my girlfriend whose not completely vegan had the pull “pork” burger and said that it was more delicious than than actual pull pork. If I could I’d give it a thousand stars.

A wonderful lunch! - Edit
We had an excellent two-course Sunday lunch for only £12.95 per person. I had the vegan Wellington and my partner had the Roasted Butternut Squash. Both were served with roast potatoes, veg and gravy. For dessert, I had the chocolate orange torte and my partner had the chocolate fudge cake. Both were served with a dollop of ice cream. A bright cafe with very friendly service too.

Fantastic food with a friendly service - Edit
Really couldn't be happier with my experience here. On this occasion I persuaded my family to join me and although they are much fussier than I am they all said how nice the food was. Not only is the food/drink reasonably priced and good quality but Alison is very friendly and will look after you. As well as a decent sized menu for both breakfast and lunch there is also a surprisingly wide selection of cakes/snacks/drinks, not to mention a little shop to get some harder-to-find vegan products. When I come back here I will definitely pick up some of the sauces and maybe one of the stylish (hand-crafted?) mugs.
Read moreI like to keep my reviews short and sweet so all I can say is that this is a place worth travelling to if it has caught your curiosity already, plus you'll be supporting an independent business ran by someone with a clear passion for the vegan lifestyle. Definitely a big recommend from me.

Great food in a new vegan part of town - Edit
I popped in at lunch time on a Tuesday and was happy to see many people of all ages eating here. The eatery is very spacious and I opted for the freshly prepared delicious lentil daal served with rice, a naan bread and mango chutney. A very generous portion and reasonably priced too. To take out, I bought a sausage roll, a Scotch "eggless" and a lemon cup cake which I thoroughly enjoyed at home. The location seems unexpected outside the busy town centre but there are a lot benefits, such as, ample free parking. Also, I noticed that Papa Jon's next door was advertising its vegan pizza and Subway opposite had an ad with its new vegan sub. This location has the potential of being a vegan hub in Bury St Edmund's.
