Fresh miso

Just had miso and a lemonade at Allala, they were both nice and fresh. The soup was made from scratch when I ordered it which I appreciated. Prices are very reasonable. I asked about the gyozas, they aren't vegan only vegetarian. You get a complimentary dessert with your meal but let the staff know you're vegan. The dessert unfortunately wasn't so I had to leave with it uneaten.

Good feed (strange sushi)

Not hard to find, not sure what people are on about. Just in an alley off the main walking street of San Marcos (leading to the ferry pier). You can see the sign from the Main Street, maybe they relocated?

Ordered sushi, miso soup and Japanese curry. All tasty, though the sushi fell apart and looked like it was someone’s first time making it (and they might have been blindfolded).

Amazing food and service

It's a quiet Japanese restaurant with a Japanese owner and Guatemalan staff. They understand veganism and know the ingredients in their food. Many veggie dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. I had the sushi and gyoza. Both really nice. They served a free mini desert too which they made specially vegan for me. Excellent service

Pros: Great service , Some great vegan options

Cons: Not fully vegan

Japanese treat in Guatemala

Allala is a play on words in Spanish meaning: Find It! Ask around and eventually you will find your way. Lots of vegan options: authentic Japanese curry, sushi rolls, tempura, miso, chao mein, tofu salad, it’s all delicious but comes with a wait!

Very good

A bit hard to find, had to walk through trails to get there. Place is so cute and cozy. The workers were very nice. We ordered the sushi which was very good but looked homemade. Chao Mein was amazing. I would definitly recommend coming and ordering the sushi and chao mein!

Pros: Great food!

Cons: Location isnt far, just harder to find., No wifi which isnt that bad.
