Read moreThe tea was superb with delicious savoury and sweet offerings that had to be tasted to be believed. The quantities were generous and we fell into a food coma afterwards, and still had a couple of pieces left in our fridge the following day.
For our evening meal Pheonix cooked us a Turkish inspired treat, again the quantities were impressive but quality was even more so. I wish we lived nearer so we could take advantage of the regular themed dinner events Pheonix holds.

Incredible food by the talented Phoenix! - Edit
This is a somewhat belated review as my partner and I enjoyed Phoenix’s food during a stay at The Miggi over Easter, but I absolutely could not miss the opportunity to wax lyrical about the incredible things we ate!! We were lucky enough to sample a 3-course dinner, an Easter Sunday roast, and the most epic afternoon tea I’ve ever encountered. Phoenix’s talent and genuine enthusiasm for cooking is so inspiring and left me feeling warm, fuzzy and extremely well fed! We’ll be back for more, without a doubt!

The food offered for both afternoon tea and evening meals is simply outstanding! You would not find a better taste and service than this anywhere, and I include Michelin-starred chefs anywhere in the world. Well done! What fabulous food and great value for money!

We ordered a white chocolate cheesecake birthday cake and an afternoon tea from Phoenix during our stay at the Miggi, and also had a 3-course sit down Portuguese-themed meal. All were delicious and highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious food. We visited twice, for afternoon tea and a 2 course dinner. Phoenix is an expert chef and they made us feel very welcome with the most delicious and expertly created dishes. A delicious plentiful good variety of savory and sweet treats..I would say this is the best afternoon tea you could ever hope for whether you are vegan or not! Phoenix the chef is a wonderful talent and it is set in a wonderful relaxing room..in a cosy house!..You can stay at this guest house too!..Do book this if you are travelling through Devon!

I've had food here before, so didn't hesitate when a group of friends suggested a Christmas meal. I can't completely describe going to All Good Things Vegan for food....the food is impecable, Phoenix is an incredible host and makes it an experience, not just dining. Every time I've been I've been blown away by the attention to detail, the food being epic and often little surprises during the dining experience. Every time I walk out stuffed full, mind blown and happy. Food is a passion for Phoenix and the creativity, presentation and taste reflects this.

We had a two course dinner as we stayed at the Miggi. The theme was chinese and Phoenix prepared some delicious jackfruit pancakes for starters and chow mein as main course. Also we were able to taste some of their yummy truffels. Highly recommend!

We had two meals with Phoenix when we were in Paignton - a thali and a Sunday roast, plus desserts - both delicious, generous and made with real care and attention. Also lovely getting to meet Phoenix, who served us and told us all about the food. Would very much recommend!

Two courses are a must! - Edit
Phoenix tends to do a different cuisine from around the world (each time) on a Friday night and a roast on a Sunday. They also do a lot for charity. They are located in The Miggi guesthouse, and having stayed there for a weekend, we managed to eat their food twice. The Friday was an Indian thali with mango lassi and chai cheesecake, we were also given complementary chai tea and handmade truffles. Sunday was a nut roast (including Yorkshire pudding), with lemon posset. This was all made gluten-free to our requirements and was obviously 100% vegan. The meals were really good, and they obviously love what they do, I look forward to having their food again.

I just attended a fundraiser for the local animal sanctuary Hakuna Matata. Phoenix put on a lovely buffet with LOADS of food. She made me my own special plate as I’m gluten free too. There was a mac and cheese, a sausage roll, potato salad and loads of lovely different salad bits on my plate. Dessert was fabulous too: a choc mousse with a cherry on top, biscuit, strawberry covered in chocolate, fruit, and another chocolate covered something that I have taken away with me and will eat tomorrow as I was so stuffed today. Phoenix and Mark were great hosts too - lovely and friendly and waited on us, making sure that we had everything we needed. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more of the food 😁.

They made me an afternoon tea for 3 people to go, picnic style. I have lots of allergies and they managed to still create some amazing cakes & sandwiches, and checked a few ingredients with me to be extra vigilant.

I’ve had an awesome solo week here at The Miggi and really wanted to make sure that I tried some lovely food while I was here. What a wonderful chef Phoenix is! I’d asked for a charcuterie board for the day I arrived and was blown away with the variety of amazing home made cheeses and seitan slices provided. It was complete luxury. I also booked in for an evening roast dinner with all the trimmings followed by a wi detail Belgian themed waffle and ho e made ice cream dessert. Phoenix’s food is so thoughtfully put together and they put so much love and care into making sure they provide exactly what you want.

I have just returned from a four night solo trip to The Miggi. As part of treating myself to this vegan retreat, I had an afternoon tea, a Mezze plate and a Friday evening three course German-inspired meal all lovingly prepared by Phoenix. It was all absolutely delicious - the afternoon tea was decadent and the different elements were extensive; the home made cheeses with the Mezze plate (with all the other items) were really tasty and the German menu was really lovely. Phoenix was very friendly and produced their food with such love and attention. I would 100% recommend their offerings and will definitely be back again in the future.

We had full afternoon tea, I had a pot of tea and my friend had a pot of coffee, my tea was perfectly brewed and there was a choice of plant milk.
Read moreThe savoury course woud have been filling on its own - I'd struggle to pick which was my favourite element.
With the sweet course I had to ask for a box to take what I couldn't finish.
The surroundings were lovely, period dining room with fresh roses in vases on every table, interesting themed decor, loved the stained glass in the window and the lighting was good for me (I am autistic and this kind of thing matters quite a lot!).
Service was from Phoenix who was the perfect balance of professional and friendly.
Appreciated the touches like the floral tea set, eco reuseable napkins, eco soap in the bathroom.
Pros: Gorgeous food, Lovely surroundings, Friendly staff
Cons: Only disliked that I can't do this more often!
